Just got back from game - and suddenly Wembley doesnt seem quite so bad even journey home and wembley way was better. Atmosphere improving and better now we have got to know other members around us to get banter going.
Always thought we could win tonight but didnt expect to control the game as well as we did. Poch is a master tactician and the team followed the instructions.
Feel sorry for Toby and worrying that this is second hammy in couple of weeks and season still young.
MoM for me was Davies - how he has progressed over last year. But all guys deserve plaudits. More of same vs Palace please.

Fuck him. He's past it. Was shit in both games.
Goal hanging Irish jig merchant.

He got his goal tonight, pretty much all he cares about.

Seen the guy celebrate tap ins like he's the king of the world without any acknowledgement of team-mates' (integral) part in it.

Hello.......Europe? This is Tottenham Hotspur......
We. Have. Arrived.
Same was said when we beat Inter. Souness was giving it large.
Between then and now we've actually won fk all.
Great night and a great result but it was just a match not a final.
Apologies for party pooping but Glen Hoddle summed it up well with the 'one swallow doesn't make a Summer ' analogy.
We need to win something.

Hopefully that performance will silence the "pace" merchants who think we have to set up like Liverpool even though we ruined them too at Wembley.

Trippier, Winks, Eriksen and Alli don't play "pace" they play football. Really really well. And with a rock solid ball playing defence behind them and Harry Kane leading the line they make the ball move fast, and use pace of thought.

It works.

There was a comment on the BBC match tracker that said: "Real are gone; a beaten side. They look frazzled by the pace of this Spurs display". Some people need to wake up to the fact that pace is not necessarily Mané.

I agree. Pace also includes execution of a play through speed of thought

'Worried for Spurs'
Tottenham 1-0 Real Madrid

Real Madrid started pretty slowly but they are getting more and more into it. After Tottenham scored, you could see Ronaldo get agitated and he wanted to get more involved.

You just feel a little bit worried for Tottenham.

PRICK
He's a proper good guy and he's a not so secret fan of ours.

That wouldn't have been a snide comment. He calls it as he sees it. He loves us.

I wouldn't quote Hoddle after his moronic banging on about foreigners tonight on BT sport, oblivious to the fact that our manager isn't John Bull and nor are a number of our players. I wonder what Ossie and Ricky are thinking.
