People on Facebook saying they're close to tears. Cringe.
I was there when the 3 goal when in.... Was brought back to earth when they got one back and were attacking... Then at FT... I juz couldn't believe it. Felt as if I was in a dream... That I dozed off and just dream we won.

Ronaldo didnt even stay on the pitch to shake hands at the end....what a total ****!
Tipical... But u can tell he was pissed. What I give to be a fly on the wall in their dressing room at FT. But I always feel that is the game plan. Frustrate Ron, and u frustrate Madrid and u alway have a chance if U do that.

Sergio Ramos must be one of the biggest twats in football. Such a cowardly man.
Ramos has always been a little dirty. But he is still an excellent defender. He had a great game, if it wasn't for him we could have scored 5.

I have been privileged to see some special games in my 19 years of supporting this team, but last night has to be in my top 3.

We may have had some luck at times during the game, but overall it was an outstanding performance by every single player on the team. For the first 5 minutes Real looked like they were up for it, but after our first counter attack it felt like the tide swung in our favor and remained that way for the next 85 minutes. Our players looked hungry and full of belief that we could beat Madrid, and we did quite convincingly.

Our defense was honestly world class last night. Sanchez is such a talent and along with Verts held things together when Toby went off. Trippier and Davies were fantastic on the wings too, and when Dier slotted in for Toby he did a really good job of stabilizing the defence. Can't even say anything about Hugo, he is one of the best keepers in the world too me and he never puts a foot wrong in my eyes.

Dele was back to his best last night, he was menacing and with Kane creating so much space between the CB's it was inevitable that Dele would score, and he managed two goals. One was from an offside cross, and the other a deflection but I will take those two goals any day. Eriksen's calm and collected finish was brilliant too.

We bossed the midfield against arguably two of the best CM's in the world. Dier, Sissoko, Winks and Eriksen played them off the ball and they could not get steam in the engine to get the ball to the forwards. Sissoko's shot/pass of the season was hilarious, but otherwise it was another useful performance from him and I'm glad to see him finally fitting into our squad as he should have last season. Just goes to show what Poch is capable of when it comes to player management.

Dembele got stuck in as soon as he got on the pitch, and I was honestly hoping he was going to chin that PoS Ramos. (Sarcasm)

Dele, Eriksen and Kane are finding that magical synergy they had last season, and I really hope they continue in the same fashion moving forward.

I am delighted to see us beat the supposed best team in the world, and once again we are proving that La Liga is not head and shoulders above the EPL as many like to argue. Let's hope we finish the group off in style and finish at the top of our group.

Irish commentary banging on about Real only having 18-22 year olds on the bench as options.

Forget to mention that we had our players of the same age range actually on the pitch!!!

Best thing about this, is that we can just rest key players now until the next round starts, essentially 100% focus on the league.

Unbelievable position to be in!

You do know that when they say something like that, anything like that, they don't feel the need (or have to) qualify it so that viewers feel they are being 'balanced'. They didn't 'forget' to say anything because they didn't have to. Its live TV, they don't come out with something and then think 'oooh, better say something about Spurs to keep their fans happy'

If they did they'd spend the entire match doing that instead of actually, you know, commentating on events on the pitch.

I really REALLY don't understand why people seem to take it all so literally and/or get peeved by it. I am now the official campaign chief for the fans talk as much bollocks as the commentators do party :D

I thought they looked a poor team and if it hadn't been for the ref being scared to give decisions against them or book any of their players we would have won by more.

No wonder they win so many games usually in Spain. They are one up already before a ball is kicked as the refs are scared to give anything against them.

It's not easy to beat them is what I'm trying to say. Obviously none of us will but don't listen to those in the media who try and belittle this victory. It's a massive massive achievement for us.

You D'oh me and then make out I am a whinging bollocks.

If you had to listen to the crap that Dunphy and Liam Brady spout week in week out you would be cutting off 14 of your 17 testes.

But don't worry I'm coming for them instead!!!!:sneaky:

what does that mean?

Haha sorry the late reply, but to brush you up on the lingo these days; it means Hoddle was making fun of Sissoko (specifically when he was being sarcastic about his airshot being a disguised pass to Kane)

I was unaware Hoddle said that but I've been banging the same drum about that pass :wideyed:

So, if we beat APOEL, we win the group.

After the international break, we will be playing games every 3 or 4 days up until 16. of December, and going to Dortmund knowing that we can rotate a few players could be very valuable.

Against the most dominant midfield and attacking force of the last few years our defensive was awesome. I didn't like the space we were given to them out wide when they attacked us but realised that we probably allowed that in order to not get our defence stretched and stayed compact as a team throughout

To be honest we looked comfortable all night; Dortmund certainly caused us more problems
