Pat Nevin said the same thing on the Beeb. Said to take nothing away from us but City are still much better and have beaten a better team, in better form, away, and he expects them to win league and go further than us in CL so we still won’t win anything, so this was effectively one big shop window for Poch and the players

Was listening to them for a few minutes on the radio and in that time Ian Wright plus to some extent Nevin were effusive about our performance. Then after the programme I switched to Talk Shite and yes according to those muppets we played a second rate team so it was not a specially notable performance. Good job I had some nice music in the car! Anyway after what I had seen I don't care what the 'experts' say

He didn’t add that Napoli have now lost 3 games in this group stage alone

BBC are creaming themselves over us this morning (though Even amongst their effusive praise they couldn’t help but throw in a reference to Alli “catching the eye” of Madrid).

Meh when you splash obscene money on full backs and a goalkeeper alone like City has you expect them to do well.

Us on the other hand put out a team against last season's winners and two of our starring players (the two Harrys) were home grown and cost us no fee...

Until we win a trophy..... That will be the agenda

The thing is, are the pundits seriously expecting us to win the Champions League this season or even beat Man City (who have spent billions) to the league?

If we did either it would be the greatest achievement in the history of the sport.

On one hand they say "spurs need to win something" on the other they say "spurs doing it the right way bringing players through and growing as a team'. Its fucking hard to have both. They aren't instantaneous.

Trophy?

Personally, I think we're going for the Champions League this season.

Like, I actually think this is the priority competition for us considering City's frightening start in the PL.

So the question is, what would you rather win? The Premier League or the Champions League?

Personally I'd rather see Spurs lift the latter, given the choice.

Both would be nice, but I’d be happy with either :D.

Try and win every game and see where that leaves us at the end of the season.

You just gonna ignore Leicester's PL achievement just like that huh? :D

No, unfortunately you haven't.

It's just that 95% of the time we are drunk when we post on these forums, luckily for me I decided to skip the beers before writing that. :ROFLMAO:
