He's moaning about the kind of disrupting things we have to deal with on a daily basis with our players or manager getting linked with moves away. It's part of football and he needs to deal with it. He's right that this type of bullshit is annoying but having a strop and whine in a press conference isn't going to do anything but get the press foaming at the mouth for more. He's feeling the pressure and can't deal with it.
Agree. I imagine those reporters were all sat there with a smile on their collective faces thinking 'Hook, line and sinker. Muuppeetttt' lol.
If he thinks he had it bad before they'll be absolutely winding yim up at every opportunity now they know how he'll react.

The thing is these players would rather sign for the big money and then later complain about the lack of gametime like Musonda has done.

It's ridiculous. They know what they're signing up for.

I think agents and hangers on have a lot to do with it. What they don't seem to appreciate though is that players can disappear without trace if they don't play, and can subsequently miss the big time altogether.

When I look at the England Under 17 squad that recently won the World Cup my heart sinks if I hear any of them are with Chelsea as they just ruin youth players.

And more fall parents who allow their kids to go there for the money.

I agree with comments we should be looking to raid their academy or nick players in their catchment area as at least you can see with us they have a chance.

And someone should be brave enough to point out to that nasty idiot Conte that if they hadn't loaned so many players out they would have more squad options and maybe more of a soul rather than a bunch of overpaid mercenaries.

I think those definitely have an effect but they definitely know what their chances are. I talk to young cousins of mine who know young players at Chelsea don't have a shot. The information is all over the place and they still choose to go there.

I think the agents make them think they have a good chance when in fact they don't. They and the hangers on are just there for the pay out. Kids are impressionable and vulnerable at that age.

They've won a lot of youth cups so the chavs are doing something right with their kids, even though the chavs capped what they pay them, they probably earn more than they would elsewhere. It wouldn't surprise me if kids are being advised to sign, get well paid, get top notch coaching and if they aren't getting near the first team, they have at least set themselves up for a shot at another PL team.

Admittedly it's in the Mail, so take it with a pinch of salt, but any potential delays and added expense to their stadium is good news:

Chelsea's switch to new Stamford Bridge delayed until at least 2024 as redevelopment plans hit set-back
  • Chelsea will now not move into the new Stamford Bridge until at least 2024
  • Club chiefs have confirmed redevelopment plans have caused further delay
  • The Blues had initially outlined a move-in date of the 2021-22 season
Chelsea will not move into the new Stamford Bridge until at least 2024 after club chiefs revealed the extent of further delays on their stadium redevelopment plans.

The Premier League champions had initially outlined a move-in date of the 2021-22 season for their new stadium, but will now not even depart their current home until 2020.

In May, Sportsmail revealed how Chelsea faced an extended four-year exile from Stamford Bridge while redevelopment works take place – most likely at Wembley, although they are still looking at as many as eight sites – and the club have now confirmed those plans.

Demolition of the current stadium’s surroundings and building work on the adjacent railway line is planned to start next year.

At a meeting with the club’s select Fans Forum earlier this season, a member of Chelsea’s stadium project team said: ‘We hope, subject to approvals, to start (work) in the third quarter of 2018 including the museum and health club being demolished, with work on the railway lines starting in 2019.

‘There will be at least two further seasons here after this one.’

While citing Sportsmail’s June 2015 description of the new Stamford Bridge as a ‘Cathedral of Football’, club officials added that there was still the potential for further delays.

A member of Chelsea’s stadium project team added: ‘The local authority has been very helpful.

Interesting, suspect it may be even longer than that based on ours, unless oil money is chucked at it.

Also found it funny that were looking at.the Olympic Stadium which would suit them. Also said they were looking at our new stadium where they have zero chance with Daniel Levy. Lol

Roman isn’t putting a penny into new stadium it’s all bank money, which I thought was slightly odd. There is no way they can Be truly self sufficient without a new stadium.Their transfer business was very odd this summer.Definitley some signs he is getting f**ked off. Also expect a serious Arsenal demise in next 2/3 years with age of their squad and all the nonsense going on there.Very real possibility in 5 years or less we could be the dominant London club.

It's always been agreed on here and COYS that their timescale to move in was wildly optimistic.

That 2024 date doesn't even factor in CPOs or how to deal with the Trainline by the stadium that's used to transport nuclear waste. Those have got to add to the time surely.

All those wasted hours arguing about whether we could share Wembley and their not even going to start work until at least after we've moved in to ours

Roman has 3 ex-wives in his back catalogue - must be denting his estimated £10 billion estimated worth.
