Haha, people saying he’s done. What a load of rubbish. He’s just being mismanaged by Real, and is probably constantly rushing himself and overdoing it because he knows he’s up against it there.

If he came back here where he knows he’ll be welcomed into our bosom, and with proper conditioning and Poch’s holistic management, he’d be fine.

The romantic in me wants to see Bale back.

It would be a huge statement signing for the new stadium.

What we don't know is how RM are actually dealing with in respect of his injuries. Let's face it, we don't know if they are rushing him back to play before he is fully recovered. Alternatively, he could be insisting on coming back too soon. We know GB can play the pressing game and I think Poch could get the best out of him. The key is getting him fully recovered from his injuries and that's where I would hope that Poch and Co would give him the time to recover. He is only 28 and whilst a large part of his game is about pace, he is also very skilful and could certainly boost our squad. The main problem would be wages and his own attitude with regards to it.

He may decide that he want to leave RM irrespective of the money offered. He may see us as being on the rise (which we are) and want to be a part of it. I'm not ITK I'm just surmising but with the banks' financial restrictions with regard to transfer fees etc now changed (previous ITK referred to this) DL may be able to conjure something up.

Ever the optimist me! :cautious:

I will be amazed if RM don’t try and sell Bale in the summer. Considering the season they are having I can see them going balls deep for Hazard and Bale, with his injury record and rediculous contract, being the patsy as it were. Saying that, the only team I can see him going to is Utd, they have money to burn, we don’t. I actually think he will go for a cut price, RM will want to make anything they can on a player who spends more time on the treatment table then the starting 11 and will hope the signing of some like Hazard will cover up any public outrage at the financial loss. But even if he goes for 40/50 mil he will still want big wages and even if we can afford them, we need to be spending them on players that will be fit for 80/90% of our games not 50%. I love Bale, and would love to see him back, but if we have a chance (according to ITK) of getting Pulisic, he would be the wiser move. Unless Bale is injury free.. which he probably never will be.

No to Bale for me. He would be the pivotal point of the team if he came back. Sorry but that's Harry Kane.

Too costly, too injury prone.
and I still remember AVB having to shout at Bale against Man City to listen. For me that's against what this team is now about. No room for that player without disrupting Pochs team.

Yet people still want us to spunk all this money on him and pay him £300k per week. I don't understand the obssession, why do we have to bring him back? Why not just make a much more sensible signing with the £70-80m he'd likely cost?

Once the novelty wears off it will be a disaster as we'll be paying millions for a player only on the field for a quarter of the matches. And to say he will make a miraculous recovery just because he's signed for Spurs is ridiculous.

Probably looking at at least £200m for Bale for transfer and wages over a 4 year contract and of course pretty much zero sell on fee.

Nice story that Bale would come “Home” but he’s simply not the player we sold.

lol with the money we spend on bale we can probably buy a top young star that can fit into our ethos, buy into our system, and service us for years.

the only way i see bale coming back is if he comes on a free and takes a paycut.

its not like real will let him go on a low transfer fee.

All great points above, from why we shouldn’t and why we should try to bring him back.

If it can be done sensibly then I can see it happening.

Those saying we can’t afford him, as it stands that’s true, but what’s to say Bale, who seems a homely sort of chap, doesn’t think he’s already made his fortune and won’t pursue the ridiculous money that’s floating about? He’s been earning £200k+ a week for the past 4 years, along with big advertising deals, big signing on fee when he moved, plus he was already a millionaire before he moved to Real. He’s probably earned over £45m since his move! Maybe taking a paltry £100k a week with us for the next 3/4 years won’t be much of an issue for him if he sees the move as a return “home”?
He’d be joining us at a huge moment in the clubs history too. Part of the side that takes us in to the new stadium etc
He’s already won 3 Champions Leagues, a La Liga title and a Copa Del Ray so he’s ticked the trophies won box. Maybe the challenge of helping us win something and being part of a team trying to establish themselves as major players is more appealing than joining a club who has had loads of success recently and becoming just another player in that clubs history

Nah fuck it...he’s a crock(y)

I would absolutely love this even though it's probably not the best use of the money it would require
