Linked with Morgan Gibbs-white from wolves.17 part of the U17 World Cup winning team.Actually really caught my eye, mentioned him in youth thread at the time.Attacking midfielder reminds me a bit of dele.Quick and strong would be a great pick up imo.

There's been a lots of talk about Barkely almost certain to sign for Spurs. But if big Sam is right (not saying he is) then maybe Chelski have more of chance than expected. Levy isn't exactly known to give in to ransom demands.

Sam Allardyce has claimed Ross Barkley is “putting his career in severe danger” and that a possible summer move to Tottenham broke down due to his financial demands.

The 23-year-old turned down a new contract at Everton in the summer and then failed to agree a transfer despite strong interest from Spurs and Chelsea.

Allardyce, who has been strongly linked with the manager’s job at Goodison, has urged the playmaker to knuckle down and forget the biggest possible pay day or risk his whole career.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT on Friday, the former England manager said: “I think they [Everton] made him, they said at the time, the best offer they could possibly make him, which he refused on the basis probably that his agent said, ‘I can get you more than that somewhere else’. And that didn’t materialise in the end.

“A move to Tottenham, I believe, broke down on the basis of the money, that they wouldn’t pay the demand from Barkley’s agent at the time and he’s left in limbo.

“He’s putting his career in severe danger here. If Chelsea don’t come in, or they don’t offer the sort of money they’re looking for, what does he do then? Football is a very short career and this promising young player, his career is stalled at the moment.”

Barkley, 23, has been sidelined for the entirety of the season due to a serious hamstring and is set to be out until next month.

i thought the itks (JJ, Hercules, Trix etc) poo-pooed the financial demands in the summer?

What will he do? He’ll just wait for summer when he’s free, there’ll be plenty of interest. The only ones to miss out would be Everton.

Think he wants to move before then as he'll want to get into the England squad for the World Cup.

Perhaps, but he’s been out for so long and will take a bit of time getting up to speed, so will have to play remarkably well in such a short period of time to impress Southgate.

His contract has a clause, and expires early 2020.
The clause is realistic. That does not mean he will end up here, but we are seriously keen.

As well we should be, if only because Pulisic is *exactly* what we need and fits Poch's project perfectly. He ticks pretty much every box you could think of when it comes to age, playing style, and ability, not to mention the marketing aspect of it. Simply massive.

Also, he's in the first or second year of a multi-year deal with Nike. Whether that actually means anything given our current relationship with them, I really don't know, but it's certainly worth noting.

Am assuming from Hercs post that the release is less than that...
Didn’t see his post, nice if so and we can get him it would change our club. He’d take us to the next level.

I’d find it hard to replace any single player in this line-up:

Lloris

Trippier/Aurier
Toby
Sanchez
Jan
Rose

Dembele/Winks
Dier/Wanyama

Alli
Eriksen
Pulisic/Son

Kane

That would be a near on world class team.

We both realize that this isn’t as simple as buying a player on FIFA, but I’m indulging in the thought of having him at Spurs. He slots in so perfectly in that side, and would give us not only another incredibly quick and skillful wide player, but also someone who can play through the middle. Imagine playing on the counter with both him and Son running at stretched defenses...frightening!

Would love to have Pulisic. Played against my son's brother-in-law from 12 to 15. Was very good but really improved once he went to Dortmund. Interesting comments today about him being fortunate to have European passport because of the difference in development of 16 to 18 year olds between US and Europe. Very smart and humble kid that would slot into Poch's project.

Especially with 12 players!

Why no Davies?
