He's never fit. Let it go.
I’d be willing to bet a million pesetas that his injury record would improve remarkably once he’s had a fresh start, with our coaching team, and once he feels loved again. As Poch always says, the mind is the most important part of a footballer.

Honestly. I’m constantly amazed so many fans watch Poch’s work, but fail to understand what he’s doing to get there.

Bale just needs to feel important and loved again - once he does, he’ll relax, stop overworking in the gym trying to outdo Ronaldo, and just get back to his football.

Somewhere in a sheep pasture in the potteries charlie adams is having the best sex of his life, thinking that finally all of his horror tackles have finally done Bale in. Fucking scumbag.

He's 28 FFS, not 35. The way some go on about him it would seem he's ready for MLS, China or the Middle East.

I get that he's had injury problems, but there is still plenty of time to change his training style and body shape in order to regain his optimal physical condition. That could be done in the space of a single off/pre-season.

It's not going to happen, but it's not his body that would be primary factor in that. If he was available and willing to drop his wages to somewhere near an acceptable amount we'd be mad not to sign him and back our conditioning staff in.

If it wasn't gonna cost 85m (apparently) then I would be all over it. If there is a reasonable deal to be done both on fee and wages then I'd like to think we'd try and do it and it would be awesome to see him playing with Kane and Eriksen/Alli.

At 28, with his current injury record there is NO WAY he's worth 85m and 300k per week.

Equally, given the choice, I'd opt for Pulisic and Goretzka for the same money it would cost to bring Bale back.

FWIW if we signed him I’d be swooning, but I don’t think the move makes sense for anyone. We need to build around players we can rely on and can’t afford him, he could get more than double elsewhere and be undisputed main man too, Real wouldn’t want to strengthen a side whose level they are trying to reach :D

How about we give them £50m and as an extra sweetener we open up a ‘special relationship’ with them, giving them first refusal on any shit we decide to offload?

In this market and given the hype, both in regards to performance and potential marketing opportunity, it wouldn't be surprised to see Dortmund's valuation of Pulisic that far off what Madrid ask for Bale.

I love Bale as a player and it hurts me to say this but the gamble would be too much and I just think his return could destabilise the most consistent spell I have seen in my time. It could also be the final jigsaw piece but I honestly think Poch will get where he's trying to go doing things the way he is doing them. I don't see Bale returning fitting in to that. But if he comes back and we win everything in sight I won't be disappointed.

That's my line of thinking too. The other problem I have is that it would be upsetting seeing him play for another English team.

He must have earned his coin now, can't think he'd want to be on astronomical wages. He's got to be happy if we offer him 100k a week.

Was part of the deal with Real that we get first refusal ?
