Hugo was like a chocolate fire guard on that second goal. Zero presence there. I know he stumbled a little but he just sort of flopped backwards

Still got a chance if we can score early and arsenal go down to 10 men. Problem is xhaka will do something worthy of a red card in the first 10 mins but dean will let it go and its just a case of how long before he does another.
Alot of sloppiness at the back today, hopefully they will cut it out second half.

Absolute disaster of a half, where do you start?

- first off, desire and intensity.
- we cant keep the ball under pressure as they put the squeeze on. No options.
- we are then playing some awful long balls forward that actually put us under pressure as they don't even reach our advanced players and land at their midfielders to spring an attack.
- the defence has been very poor. They're not playing as a unit, no one is talking, no one is leading, no one is organising. Dier wants to drop, Vertonghen wants to step up, Sanchez does one thing then t'other. It's a fucking mess.
- Our shape/compactness, and/or press has been so ragged.
- That's yet another set piece goal conceded, and yet again Dier is man on the scene.
- I think Hugo can do a bit better on both goals, positioning for the first, reactions for the second.
- Apart from the briefest sporadic moments our attack has been non-existent. Alli has been disappointing, Eriksen cant get into the game.
- But the main point is that we may as well have 10 men out there, as Kane is nowhere near it. He cant run.

And then on top of all that, you've got a bit of bad luck with refereeing decisions thrown into the mix. But we only have ourselves to blame being in this situation, we have been crap so far.

I'm sorry but you can't blame sissoko and poch for this as I see many doing.

Sissoko has arguably been one of our best players so far and poch is not at fault for either of those goals
True, and even if I recognise that he's been one of our best players today he's still the first player I'd sub off as his lack of technical ability (in particular his loose passes that are always a few yards behind the attacking player forcing us to halt the tempo) will hamstring our attacking play whenever he is on the pitch and we need goals.

Foyth on for Sissoko. Dier into midfield. Winks for Dembele if he's not going to step it up. Son on asap for Kane if Kane's injury is just going to get worse by playing.

We've been second best, Arsenal look far more up for it and we've struggled to get our front player into the game at all. Need a rocket at half time and come out and get right at them. COYS

I say this often but we rarely play 2 identical halves under Poch. If we can get one back they will wobble definitely. Need Son on, don't mind who goes off.

I agree and had a feeling about this game. Obviously the media and sky especially have their storyline for the game and they’ve been at it all week. ‘Spurs are favourites’, in fact it was the first thing said when the programme started today more or less. We weren’t. Bookmakers dictate the favourites and Arsenal were before the game.
Anyway...

Dele is what he is unfortunately. He had a diabolical first ten minutes which again wasn’t really noticed by those covering it. Against this lot, you don’t give up possession easily. Dele give it back to them the first 5 times he touched it. Sets a poor tone for the side in general.

Need to get Eriksen on the ball as much as possible

Son on for Alli

It's definatly not over yet, I don't think we've been much worse then them. If a bit of luck comes out way we're right back in it and the crowd will get nervous

Hopefully this will stop all the mind the gap shit and we are better than them etc!
We finished above them once in the last 15 years and have won fuck all for ages whereas they have won 3 FA Cups.

They are no mugs and if we play like this too many times this season, we will finish below them

Just got to get out of here with the scoreline as is and not allow it to get any worse.

What a fucking shit weekend and week at work though to look forward to

Sky glossing over the offside wtf?!

Redknapp: Yeah it's slighty offside but it's a great header. Onto the second goal
Christ that offside was extremely marginal, no point moaning about it. What was criminal was the lack of marking.
