Lets get this out the way.
Lamela played the first half in a 3 Man CM with Skipp(our best player today) and Amos.
The first half he was good on the ball tidy and you could see he was taking it easy not running around like a Madman like he does.
He had a good effort towards the end of the first half with a good shot from about 20 yards out that nearly made the top corner.
You could tell he had been out for a long time he was not running at full pelt that often,the good thing he had a few heavy tackles towards the end of the first half that he came through that will do his confidence good.
The second half he was getting very tiered with a few bad touches so they pulled him off.
I would say he needs a lot more game time before we see the best of him and that might take a bit more time but good to see him back.

On the Chelsea Match it was 1-1 at halt time and it was a close game at that stage but in the second half Chelsea dominated the match and was 3-1 up before Sterling got a header in what must of been in injury time.
Edwards was very quiet today he could not get into the game that much,Skipp,Tanganga,BLF was our better players, Amos and Harrison was OK.
Players that had a bad day today are Bennetts,Marsh,Tracy, and what has happened to Alfie Whiteman kicking it was all over the place and this is not the first time I have seen this from him, strange because he is a good keeper.

Na he’s a striker. Came on last 20 mins I believe.
Mk are awful in matches but have a very good record of bringing through youth.
I’ve got a good feeling he’ll make the breakthrough as he’s a deadly goal scorer

i still don't get why tob and georgiou can't play u23s while they're with the seniors, it's not like they're actually anywhere close to being involved for the first team anyway. tob especially, he only has one u23 start to his name, are we to believe that he's above this level now and playing in it is a waste of his time then? i kind of get poch not wanting them being out of sync with the first teamers(although would still disagree with it) but yesterday for example the u23s and seniors played at the same time so it wouldn't have made a difference.

Plus, while he won the u17 World Cup, it isn't exaclty like he's proven himself at u23s. He didn't even play well for our u18s and hasn't impressed in the u23s in his couple of appearances surely he could do with experince there as well

Great if true but I doubt it. I was thinking though he is probably as close to the first team as any other youth players, especially being the only DM and quality one at that in the academy with Wanayama still out it would be great for him to play or at least feature.
