Pretty poor performance today. We didnt deserve anything. They played as if it was there Cup final where we seemed to play half paced. Kane clearly wasn’t fit reckon if we had been playing WBA this weekend he wouldn’t have played. Think Mike Dean let the Arsenal players & fans get to him he was really poor today.

I can only assume Winks was not fully fit to play today.

Dembele not being himself anymore is causing a lot of problems with Wanyama's injury. Dier is far better at CB and Sissoko is Sissoko. We're only left with Winks who is good enough to start there all of a sudden.

If Wanyama isn't coming back anytime soon then we need to sign somebody there as Poch doesn't trust Onomah.

I'm with Poch on Onomah! I haven't seen much of the lad but nothing I have seen has been good.

If I was a betting man I would put my money on the teams today with the fewer players away on international duty and especially if qualifiers.

The break changes the rhythm of training, sport science, etc. Some players go back to their clubs having loss fitness, sharpness, put on weight, etc.

We had too many players off the pace today. They looked shaper. Too bad Chile didn't make the play off. Sanchez looked a lot fresher than Eriksen.

Marginal gains.

Too many of our players didn't show up today, and Kane and Alli were clearly not properly recovered from injuries. Eriksen's exploits in the play offs meant that he had probably run out of gas when we needed him most to step up to the plate with Harry and Dele being not exactly sharp and on it.

Whilst both goals had elements of controversy about them they were worthy of the win and 2--0 didn't flatter them so I hope Poch doesn't bleat like Wenger does when they lose and try to convince everyone that we didn't deserve to lose with that sort of performance. IMHO Davison Sanchez was one of the few players in our team today who can come out of today's game with much credit.

Dier's pretty spot on with this;

"I thought our performance was good from the beginning, we did what we wanted to do. We were playing a very good side and both teams will have their periods in the game. We are disappointed to concede the goals we did.
"I don't need to say anything [about the referee]. In big games there is too much on the line for mistakes like that. It put them in front and changed the game."

At least Mustafi can admit he was offside, although clearly the decisions didn't end up a draw...

"I was happy the referee did not blow the whistle for offside. I am lucky to get away with it. That is football, you get things for and against you, at the end of the season the decisions end up as a draw."

"I thought our performance was good from the beginning"

....sure about that?

Arsenal. The new West Ham. This is the only thing they have to look forward to, so they save their best performance against us.

They have won 3 major trophies in 4 years. Let's not pretend they are West Ham Level due to us finishing ahead of them one season.

In the long run, that was us at our worst and them at their best, yet they still needed Mike Dean to win them the game.

Eriksen and Alli were absolutely garbage. I don't think I can remember such a rubbish performance from Alli plus his moaning doesn't help when he playing that badly.

Eriksen had two of the biggest games in his career so far in the previous 8 days so chances are he was running a little low on reserves.

Another day another horrible performance away from home against a top 6 rival.
People will blame luck or say these things happened it's only one game but it's not, it's near enough every huge away game.

After today Poch has got to change things because what he's trying/tried is not working in these games. Seems like now because of that Madrid away performance he's tricked into thinking one CM and Sissoko as some weird right handed CM works. It doesn't. Dembele was up against about 4 central players and his tactical decision was to then put Winks into exactly same position. Mentally we've got issues in these games, it was a mirror of countless other performances.

Apart from Sanchez (who I thought was very good) everyone else was utterly woeful today. Waiting all that time to bring on Son in a NLD we're losing 2-0 was a disgraceful decision too.

At least 90% of all Arsenal's goals are controversial. Always have been and always will be.

Well, the exception is Arsenal.

Although the season has a long way to go, lets be realistic and accept that the title is too much to achieve this season.
With their current form and quality players, City are not going to drop much more points.

At best we can target in the league, is second but that's getting harder as United's injured players return.

I think, for now, we should target a top four place, the FA Cup and a good showing in the CL. We're still short of a couple of players to take on the big teams plus currently, we are already missing important players in Toby and Wanyama.

It was a flat performance, but Arsenal reminded me a bit of West Ham today, maybe that's the direction they're heading, only playing out of their skins against us. They'll be dropping points soon enough, DT will be ranting and raving, and Ozil will be back to his old self

Bah, not a good weekend to be a Spurs fan. I guess what goes around comes around, today its our turn to suck it up.

I don't take it as hard as I used to and I do but at the same time don't envy those of you for whom it's still life and death.

I'll have a pint of special brew mixed with gold label tonight and pass out blissfully whilst the resulting coma causes the shit and piss to dribble out of me. Again. :D

Yeah I’m not that bothered these days either. I’m angry now mainly because we were shit and brought it on ourselves, but by the time I get home I won’t be that bothered.
