Deserved nothing. Got nothing. The underdogs played better and wanted it more. So many poor performances today.

I'm not feeling very confident although I should be, I dunno had a knot in my stomach all day....is it telling me something or is it that curry I had last night!!

COYS!!

Wasn't that curry then....Had a bad feeling about this game, i just knew with all the media stuff over the last weeks bigging us up that they would be so too up for it...dust ourselves off, bad day at the office, onwards to Dortmund Wednesday!

Stop with the bollocks about Arsenal played like it was their cup final.

It should have been the cup final for Spurs as well. Every game should be!
Fair play to them imo.

I agree a ridiculous back handed compliment.

Actually although they wanted it more, they won not because of greater desire, but because they just played better than us, their use of the ball was incisive and positive. We gave the ball away consistently all match.

They deserved it. Turning point was a dreadful decision against Sanchez followed by an offside goal. Second goal was offside too. Most disappointing aspect was that the game could well kickstart the Gooners season.

They have won 3 major trophies in 4 years. Let's not pretend they are West Ham Level due to us finishing ahead of them one season.

There are too many ridiculous fans, its why we are the laughing stock sometimes!

We finish once above them and suddenly they are shit and we are great... lets see who finishes higest this year but I support spurs to see us win stuff, not battle over who finishes higher spurs or arsenal, joke mentality but some fans need to wake up

Biggest concern moving forward: a demotivated squad who sees their title hopes potentially vanquished and plays with less urgency in league matches. This team has been on the precipice the last two seasons. I worry there could be a serious drop off if all they have to fight for is a 4th place finish. I expect continued high level performances in the Champions League, but when the goal you've set for yourself isn't achievable, there's a tendency to drop off just that little bit, which makes all the difference in a top league like the EPL.

To put things in perspective, we'd have to win 20 matches, draw 3 matches, and lose 3 matches with a +49 goal difference in our next 26 fixtures to match last season's league standing. That's a nearly impossible order. We have to hope more teams at the top lose frequently to teams in the midtable and Spurs pretty much beat all the lower tier teams without much issue, as we lose a lot of matches to the top teams, it seems.

I actually bad mouth a half -fit Kane and the constantly mis-performing Dele (who shouldn't even start these days) -I don't blame Eriksen - he needs players to create space for him and that ain't going to happen if those two aren't on their game. As for Sissoko - he looked Ok today - but he's no game changer, is one dimensional and has poor technical ability - I don't see how he adds value or improves our team. He can get by - but I want more from a 30 million pound player. I'd swap him in a heart beat for a Zaha, a Rashford or a Salah - they're the types of players we should be buying for that kind of money. And if you can't see that - I suggest you buy some bi-focals.
Please feel free to enlighten me as to how and what you think Sissoko brings to the team?!? Direct running with the ball &...........works hard &........
But that's he was bought for, direct running and breaking the lines. His confidence is improving and with it his touch. His positional sense is very good. There was a breakaway created by him and in the end he didn't pass to Eriksen. I wondered why he hadn't passed, but he really didn't take up a position and Sissoko was waiting for him. The problem was that Eriksen kept up with their back line, which means that you have to delay to ensure he's not offside.
I didn't say you hadn't criticised Kane and Alli, but Eriksen has to impose himself if he is to be considered in the top tier. He's like Ozil in that respect.

Always disappointing to lose to Arsenal and it’s easy to be knee jerk when summarising the match but overall I think we were unlucky to come away without anything. You expect the home team to have periods of dominance in the game and sure, Arsenal had those. But we also had periods of dominance and we had some good opportunities to score. It came down to a number of refereeing decisions which went against us. Both the goals were offside and I think there was a penalty on Kane which wasn’t given. Once you go 2 goals down away from home it’s very difficult to get back in the match but we gave it a good go and had the ref made the correct decisions we could be coming away with the 3 points.

I don't think this Arsenal team is capable of playing better than they did today.

We absolutely know that Spurs are capable of playing far, far better than they did today.

So yes, fair play to them, they did what was needed. For a variety of reasons, some avoidable and others not, we didn't. A frustrating-as-shit result for us that probably makes no difference in the end.

I think a bit of hype around us and supposed lack of character around Arsenal got to out players heads. Arsenal were 100mph from minute one. Whereas we tried to ease into the game but that never happened.

And you can't go into a game like that if players are not 100%. Can't give maximum effort.

Nibbles and the cat went into hiding.
Dog wandered off into the garden
and sniffed out a bone.
Left all my own behind the sofa
reflecting on our away record against top teams.
They `played better than us.
Roll on Tuesday.

Yeah right Wenger, it was a foul. Of course it was you fucking smug, deluded prick.

Had to mute the TV for fear of lobbing the remote through the screen.

Too many of our players didn't show up today, and Kane and Alli were clearly not properly recovered from injuries. Eriksen's exploits in the play offs meant that he had probably run out of gas when we needed him most to step up to the plate with Harry and Dele being not exactly sharp and on it.

Whilst both goals had elements of controversy about them they were worthy of the win and 2--0 didn't flatter them so I hope Poch doesn't bleat like Wenger does when they lose and try to convince everyone that we didn't deserve to lose with that sort of performance. IMHO Davison Sanchez was one of the few players in our team today who can come out of today's game with much credit.

Unfortunately Poch blamed the decisions on the final result while Wenger said it was a free kick and the players were inside.
