It's not the score that hurts so much but how we played. I just can't belive how poor we were in attack. Eriksen and Alli were unbelievably bad. Can any of you recall ONE good offensive play? I can't. If we made any danger it was all from chaos, accident and long ball.

"Arsenal played they cup final." Oh, okay. If so we can play shit and lose.

Anyone think Son should have started instead of Kane or Dele? I know there would have been some uproar with that but it really didn't seem like those 2 were fully fit. At least he should have been brought on after 10 mins of the second half.
It's hindsight, but a good call. The only thing is that bringing on players with borderline injuries may aggravate those injuries.

Oh Lordy - please do not compare Eriksen to Oil ----Jezuz - I know we're all in shock and pissed off but that is a step too far! ;-)
Eriksen was our supporters player of the year last season and for a reason. Maybe he was bit knackered today - most of the team were running at 80% - but he is class and 9/10 you'll get 100% from him and the running and closing down that goes with it.

Look - I get what Sissoko can do - but I feel we need better in that department - he does break the lines, he is direct - but he doesn't have the vision or quality to do what needs to be done at the level we aspire to. That final ball - when he has broken the lines? It never comes - because he simply doesn't have the technical ability to do it. To hit a killer pass, beat the last man, take a decent shot - he can't do any of those. We need better. I would have loved Salah, I said it years ago when he failed at Chelski - in today's market? We've failed with N'kou and we've let Clinton N'Jie go - who is on fire for Marseille now ( 9 goals in 25) - we just haven't nailed that pacy break away position. And now our wing backs are slower than Rose & Trippier - we're lacking any sort of pace.
Personally - I'd buy Zaha or maybe Richarlson.

I was hoping that he would have come on at half time for Sissoko!

Just back from the game.

We were average. It was a cup final for them, the same as it used to be for us for many years. I thought we were unlucky to have given away the free kick - looked a good challenge from Sanchez.

Kane looked a little out of sorts, Alli was on the floor a lot. Even the mighty Dembele looked at times average. Sissoko was decent.

They got round the back of us way too many times and had they not been as wasteful could have been 3 or 4 up by half time.

Have to pick ourselves up and keep strong!

Don't know what the tele pundits were saying but to get the other angle on this Ray Wilkins talking on Talksport was berating Arsenal players because the way they played today makes you ask where have these players been before, where were they at Liverpool? They were working, chasing back, throwing their bodies in front of us to block shots and diving into tackles.
Basically shame on them for raising their game so high for this match when they have not bothered in other games, we have to recognise how much effort they put into it and weight that against our disappointment, against that you really need to be at or around 100%.
Not our day I'm afraid.

This is the sort of result that gets them going again and I wouldn't be suprised if the edge us out for fourth spot yet again.
Come on mate, we're all disappointed but it's just one match, one match they always turn up for.

But would in in line for a game on Tuesday.

I have no recollection of of how Eriksen played...my biggest concern was playing trippier and Davies. Very much hindsight but Aurier and Rose should have started That, we effectively had 5 at the back. With those two we could'e opened them up more. It' the first game I think our manager should be worried about. He was out thought today, although everyone's allowed a bad day at the office.

The thing is when it was our cup final we barely ever won.

I said this to a friend earlier and I will repeat it here.

Truth be told, I am really struggling to get up for games at the moment, I have no idea why, sick of football in general at the moment, had to motivate myself to watch today and I can't remember ever having to do that.

I just feel like football is a money game now and no matter how much we improve we will always be lagging behind because of our finances.

The idea of seeing someone like Walker fuck off to City and win the league in his first season just pisses me off and tells me that our players will be looking at that thinking "Why should I even bother here when I can sign there for more money and win trophies?"

When you add that alongside all the bullshit decisions, the refusal to bring in video evidence to make the game more fair and just my general detest for how prawn sandwich brigade football has become it makes it difficult for me to enjoy it.

Nights like Real Madrid are magical but the week in week out of football, even when we are winning, is just draining for me, I feel like it does not matter what we do, we will always fall behind unless we spend boatloads of money and if we did that it wouldn't feel as special anyway.

I felt this way before we even kicked a football today and this game hasn't helped matters.

Maybe it's just a phase and I will snap out of it, I don't know, just fed up with football at the moment.

Yeah I know mate I am angry not going to lie but it's the usual shit isn't it regularly losing games against the big rivals away year on year.
Looking at it today we are still short in certain areas and the mindset of belieing we can win there is again not there yet, still much work to be done.

Agree I can see a few leaving in the summer to go to teams that can actually win stuff and pay more, with all the good work that has been done we are still not near enough to win anything.
