I said this to a friend earlier and I will repeat it here.

Truth be told, I am really struggling to get up for games at the moment, I have no idea why, sick of football in general at the moment, had to motivate myself to watch today and I can't remember ever having to do that.

I just feel like football is a money game now and no matter how much we improve we will always be lagging behind because of our finances.

The idea of seeing someone like Walker fuck off to City and win the league in his first season just pisses me off and tells me that our players will be looking at that thinking "Why should I even bother here when I can sign there for more money and win trophies?"

When you add that alongside all the bullshit decisions, the refusal to bring in video evidence to make the game more fair and just my general detest for how prawn sandwich brigade football has become it makes it difficult for me to enjoy it.

Nights like Real Madrid are magical but the week in week out of football, even when we are winning, is just draining for me, I feel like it does not matter what we do, we will always fall behind unless we spend boatloads of money and if we did that it wouldn't feel as special anyway.

I felt this way before we even kicked a football today and this game hasn't helped matters.

Maybe it's just a phase and I will snap out of it, I don't know, just fed up with football at the moment.

Completely agree mate . It feels like the players are so out of touch with the fans also.

Well that's me done. All the current scores in the prem mean it's tighter than a parsons nose behind City.

Fuckin' typical.

Don't understand all these 'it was their cup final' comments.

Arsenal had, probably their strongest team out today.
We have a few important players out injured and other players not fully recovered from recent or long term injuries.
If we had our strongest team out today, and fully fit, we would have beaten this Arsenal side, irrespective of any
'contentious' referee decisions.

Regardless of today's result, we are still in strong position to finish in one of the CL spots at the end of the season.
Today was just a blip. We'll probably have a couple more before the season is out but as long as we stay close to the top of the table, we should be fine.

The LC v MC game is showing why they will run away with the league. Leicester pressed them high, City played through it. City dropped off and played on the break when needed. City kept the ball when needed. And when really needed it they took Leicester apart and scored a brilliant team goal.

Yes, it is foreign money induced, but they are a level ahead of most in the PL now.

Before the game I was wondering what side we would put out, because I think Poch's main focus at the moment is finishing top of the CL group. If he gets that then he'll start concentrating on the league more.

We were second best at everything. There is a real flaw in our team when we play top six teams away and that flaw is the way we cannot handle being pressed. Our players resort to passing the ball all the way back or hoofing it miles forward to make up for the fact the opponent isn't giving them breathing space. No wonder we lose most of the time in these games.

It's one thing being closed down by Salomon Rondon and another by Alexis Sanchez. Surely a Dortmund like set up where we mitigate the risks taken is the way forward instead of this arrogance that our way is the only way....?

Sour grapes really. Not only is it not really true, since as you well know, we have won once at the Emirates and have only beaten Arsenal away from home once in something like 20 years, it is also irrelevant since that is another game gone and another 3 points out the window irrespective of what might have been...

Yeah I know mate I am angry not going to lie but it's the usual shit isn't it regularly losing games against the big rivals away year on year.
Looking at it today we are still short in certain areas and the mindset of belieing we can win there is again not there yet, still much work to be done.
Yep agree with that, but we've still got CL last two years running even while losing these sort of games so I don't think too much can be gauged from today's performance...Harry doesn't look quite there, Eriksen looked shot due to internationals and Toby missing all played a part today I think.
I'm over it, just gotta dodge all the muggy Gooners I know for a few weeks now!

Can’t believe poch did change to a back 4 and move dier into midfield after the first 30 mins. It was clear we we being out fought in midfield and needed reinforcing.
Poor alround really but I’m especially pissed off with Lloris, another big game another mistake.
I question his mental strength as he lets us down in big games time and time again

Even the most blinkered Spurs fan can surely see any title chances are gone. The Wembley factor was always an issue but to counter it we really needed to improve our results away at rivals and that isn't happening.

One of reasons I was so pissed off at league cup shambles was because taking everything into consideration I think top 4 and winning a cup would've been a great season going into new stadium. CL run could be fun but beyond that it's just FA Cup (history tells us Poch will rotate hugely) and a big fight now with 4 other clubs for top 4.

It's very easy now for players to slip a bit mentally knowing league chase is over, it is vital we at minimum get 4th so we have CL football next season.
