What a pathetic performance. Where was all the high pressure, high intensity play we expect from our players?

Our defence without Toby looks about as effective as a colander holding out water.

I have a feeling the players started to believe all the bullshit and bollocks hyped up on Sky Sports News this week about us being the better side, and how the Arse fans were fearing us. What a load of old bollocks. Only one man played with anything like the urgency which we must always play with, and that man was Sissoko. All the rest of them should be ashamed for a complete lack of passion, urgency, intensity and self belief. I feel very angry tonight. I can only hope Pochettino gives them hell for a completely lacklustre display. Defensively, we look like a mere shadow of what we are with Toby in the side, and as he's out till the new year, we have to get this sorted, and QUICK.

2nd goal was definitely a mistake imo he was in the net before the ball was
Definitely a mistake alright by the linesman. The stunning thing if you watch that goal. When ball is played to lacazette,Davinson sanchez makes up 10 yards before anyone else has moved.

Sounds like you want us to lose to be proved right. We have improved against the other big teams around us over the years. We regularly beat United, Arsenal, City, Chelsea. Away, last year, we drew most of them (I believe?). This is the first win Arsenal have had over us in what 3-4 years. You only get 3 points away to these teams, no extra special points. The title can still be won (theoretically) not winning away to these teams and doing well at home. The rest of the games - which is the majority of teams left in the Prem - are as, in fact probably more important to win, something we have improved on since Poch has been here.

Please don't go on about the odd defeat to a lower team to prove that we haven't improved. There are some fans that think we should be winning every single game, never lose at all. Because when we do lose a game, they crawl out of the woodwork and inform us that we're s***, or we're never going to win anything. We have every reason to be positive for the future, we may not win a title this year or a cup. That's just the media pushing that narrative. We're building for the future, which takes time and is a slow burn.
Common mate really I want us to lose how stupid is that what I pointed out is our absmyal record against sides like today so don't try to disguise it.
We have a long way to go to even start getting results like this but please don't question my allegiance to my club, we are all fucked off although not suprised for reasons already stated and as for slow burn you can't get much slower than what we are still waiting for.

On the plus side at least our scabby performance today isn't being compounded by Chelsea liverpool and shitty all winning. :cautious:

I thought Sanchez was excellent today pretty much the only one who turned up he was impressive.
As for the rest yes they believed it was just a matter of turning up to get 3 pts against a side who are around us pathetic.

Not negative sir just stated the facts that we are shit against the big sides in these sort of games, I never hide from the truth and we were shit today got nothing again similar to the Utd game.
Never mind we still have city, Chelsea and Liverpool to play yet away let' see how many points we will get there I'm saying 1 pt if we are lucky.
We've beaten all the top sides over the last two seasons, although mainly at home. We don't often get beaten these days compared to the past, even if we don't win.

Results couldn't have gone more against us if we tried. An absolutely shitty day all round which will be topped off by Man U getting 3 points.

yea that record is shocking, and I remember those 4 victories well, they are all fairly recent. The first one was probably the Liverpool game where Modric and VDV scored. Then came the b2b old trafford wins and the emirates 2-3 somewhere in there. So soft when it comes to the big teams away from home.

to sum up

  • we were 30% at least off our best
  • Kane was clearly not fit - didn't seem his usual self at all
  • they raised their game 50% and were first to everything
  • Mike Dean is trying to overcompensate given accusations of Spurs bias
  • they benefitted from 3 bad decisions, the first one (the "free kick") was appalling
  • those decisions probably changed the game. Go in at HT 0-0 and we may very well have sorted our shit out and played the way we can in the second half
  • in saying that, they deserved to win, we didn't (not withstanding Mike Dean and the lion's brainfart).
Its done now......it will suck for a few days but neither we nor the players should dwell on it.

Good teams with good managers recover from bad results. We were shit today but we are a good team with a very good manager. COYS!!

Its not about being sour.

Our midfield was also poor. Our attackers looked tired today.

I guess we should have taken the hint from the club's injuries' update on Friday,

"Dele Alli (hamstring), Harry Kane (knee), Hugo Lloris (groin), Michel Vorm (knee) and Harry Winks (ankle) have undergone rehabilitation over the past 10 days and returned to full training for the first time on Thursday."

That's pretty much how it looked!

One point I want to raise is we never actually threatened them in the second half.

We had 45 minutes to turn the game around and you never know....in a derby against a team whose crowd turn quickly...one goals could bring two.

Gary Neville made a point early in the second half that we were just chipping balls with hope rather than any purpose. Vertonghan and Davies are two players usually pass the ball neatly and with incisiveness on the ground yet they were doing it most of the time. If Kane was unfit then we're inhibited but it really showed a lack of ideas from us to try and get back into the game.

Doesn't matter if we lost today, we won the NLD derby 100 odd years ago when they moved from woolwich to try and find somewhere to live that wasn't a shithole (and they failed because the emirates is dog)

When you sacrifice your soul and morals for commercial success, as they've done many times, you can never truly win

(Yes this is my coping mechanism but it's working pretty well right now)

We are also very rarely 2-0 down at half time, was poor today. BUT we are a bit negative away vs big teams, trying to nick the 1-0 and it’s just not working we got bosses again today just like away to utd. Poch still has some learning to do.
