Very surprised on his lack of impact. I know he didn't have a pre season and fuxk. I'm not one to.knee jerk, but for such a big lad he doesn't seem to win much thrown his way.

Have liked him as a player and was very useful at Swansea but so far he has offered extremely little, in the league anyway. A brief spell in Madrid aside, he's looked very.poor so far.

Said it all when he didn't start at OT. Poch isn't convinced either, it's just bizarre.

Hopefully he improves and offers us something soon, because as it stands playing Son through the middle when Kane isn't starting is a much.more appealing alternative.

Probably too early to judge but I can't escape the feeling we've wasted £15m.

Nice little knock down to Son that he should have done more with.

Agree that he doesn’t look very impressive, least with Vincent you always felt he desperately wanted to do it.

Let's be honest, he's made such a negligible impact despite his vast experience playing across Europe.

The one thing i'd expect a player like him coming off the bench to bring is some aggression and work rate but he's been so completely passive either with ball played to feet or aerially that I really wouldn't shed a tear if he departed sooner rather than later.

He needs meaningful minutes when the game is in the balance. Most of his appearances come off the bench when we're losing and run out of ideas or when we've got the game wrapped up and the players have taken their foot of the pedal.

Janssen had this exact problem. How do you get into a rhythm with 12 minutes here, seven minutes there....?

Also one thing about us is we rarely get beat in the last eighteen months but when we do it's with a limp. We don't pin back teams getting balls into the box. It's much of the same style of pass, pass pass followed by an aimless and panicky hoof.

We were ‘getting’ pace on deadline day but ended up with a Sloth instead. Sounds like a case of same old same old... a,b,c falls through, signs Z and act like it’s a good thing.

I've said a few times that it's a little puzzling that he seems to have changed his way of playing. From seeing a fair bit of him down the years, including in his pomp at Bilbao, he was never a bull of a striker but he still put himself about and was a good focal point. It's almost as if his legs are going and he's decided to become ultra languid with his style.

However can we expect miracles when thrown on 5-10 mins from the end of games? He's probably still trying to find rhythm and adapt to his team mates also in these cameos. He did also create a chance today in that limited time.

We're those people criticising him saying the same after the away Madrid game?

as others have said, hard to get into a rhythm when you're playing 10 mins here and there. especially as we don't alter the way we play. Giroud is a good example of how we should use him. The scum get the ball into the box as often as possible when hes on. not looking for tiki taka on the edge of the box through the middle.

get the ball out wide and get it in. let him do what hes good at.

Couldn’t agree more and knew it at the time. He doesn’t suit how we play, Jansen suited us more than Llorente. Fucking bullshit, nothing against him as a player he’s clearly a good one and has been throughout his career just not what we needed at all.

£15m wow thought it was £12m Which was just acceptable. Sad thing is we are stuck with him most likely.Personally would try get ride January might get £8m. By end of season at 33 he will virtually have no value.
Sissoko And now Llorente Must surely make Levy question last minute buys. That’s £45m more or less wasted.

Forget about his lack of impact, laughing with an Arsenal player after a NLD defeat show that he doesn't understand this club and is not professional enough to act in the right manner. Get rid ASAP.

Bit harsh, you have no idea his relationship with Monreal. They could go way back about same age. If an old mate banters you, what you gonna do totally blank them?
