Its important to get a win after that defeat. Winning is a habit and we need to get back to winning ways again! Besides I am going so want to see us put out a decent side!!

Dortmund away is no easy game and would imagine with their pride at stake will go for it. However maybe they will field a weakened team?

Gazza

Aurier
Foyth
Sanchez
Davies
Rose

KWP
Winks
Sissoko
Son

Llorente

Don't like the look of that at all to be honest, too many question marks IMO. The question marks being the keeper, Foyth and Davies coming into a back 3, KWP in midfield, Winks and Sissoko as our central midfield pairing and even Llorente up front on his own. It just doesn't look like a team that can take grip in any way of such a match to me.

As much as I want to rest players it still won't be good for the team if we get a spanking.

Dortmund aren't in any kind of form at the moment, they've been playing with no confidence and their defence is suspect, they haven't won in the league since the end of September, the last win in a competitive match came against a lower league team in the Cup, wouldn't surprise me to see their coach get sacked soon.

Strong side, Dortmund are no mugs and despite their form they gave us the run around at Wembley for much of the home game.

I would certainly rest Kane and possibly Alli. Ideally Jan as well but not sure we can right now - i don't know that Foyth or Davies are quite ready to play in that back 3.

Hugo
Sanchez - Dier - Jan
Aurier - Sissoko - Dembele - Rose*
Son - Eriksen
Nando
Subs - Winks and whoever else is fit really.

*If Danny has burnt bridges then Davies in for him.

Just the sort of situation where you hope your next opponent turns up with a second string and a bunch of kids knowing they've already qualified.

I want us to rest Kane, Alli, Dembele, Verts, and Eriksen unless it is deemed they are fit and just need some game time then give them 60 minutes or so. We have a lot of games to come before the end of the year so need to take this as a break and start rotating the squad more. City are out of site in the league but we need to be strong over the next ten games in order to cement a top four place.
