Reminds me of Ledley.

Cracking centre half
Me too. Early days obviously, but he closed down Alexis a few times with a couple of long paces, confidently retrieved the ball, and took his time to drive upfield or make the right pass. He is looking very good.

I thought Sanchez was superb yesterday. Great pace too. His tackle on Sanchez was actually fantastic and his confidence is clearly growing as he's started bringing the ball forward instead of just offloading to the other CBs. I like his passing too, strong accurate passes get us moving forward more quickly.

I love his pace, balance and accuracy in the tackle. Looks like he doesn't even need to make fouls. Add to that his ice cool temperament. Brilliant.

I can't believe the people that scouted and advised us to buy this guy also did Sissoko. Maybe they sent the YTS scout guy to Newcastle ?

First few games I thought Sanchez looked a bit raw for 40m, but I've been hugely impressed with the kid the last few games. He is perfect for a Poch defence - he's quick, tenacious, he can press up close to his man without fear of being turned, he's comfortable on the ball, plays it out calmly under pressure.

moral of the story. sometimes you do have to pay premium for premium quality. enough with the gkn, sissoko signings

Indeed, and you can add Llorente to the list as well.

Have to say, for a position where traditionally players don't mature as early it's hard to be anything other than impressed by Sanchez. Especially when you compare his composure and maturity to that of Aurier who is a few years older than him. The more he gets used to the PL the better he'll get as well. His use of the ball as well as his defending was excellent on Saturday.

Agreed. Although there are a few contenders for best Poch purchase....

Sanchez
Toby
Wanyama
Dele
Himself

I hope we can add a creative player to that list soon

Edit: or at least bring one through from our own ranks
