I've seen nothing of Skipp, is he that good? What type is he? I hear only good things about him.

Yes he;s a very talented player. If he played I'd have every confidence he'd hold his own in the game. I wouldn't expect him to go on to be a first team regular, or have anymore involvement in the squad, except maybe against APOEL, but I think he'd be able to do his role well. Pick the ball up off defenders break up play and move it on. Feint turn out of trouble all of that, might make a mistake or error but what senior player doesn't

I'd be very interested to see a midfield two of Skipp and Winks with Skipp as DM and Winks further forward. Two good all-rounders who could chase the opposition, keep possession, and try to move the ball forward.
With Dier playing at the back, Sissoko limited technically, and Dembele limited physically I think it's worth a look.

Surely he won't start, believe me I'd love to see it, but seems more likely he'd just come on at some point?

That's what poch usually does, bed them in slowly. If he is starting poch has really put him on the fast track

I think they are very similar. Possibly Skipp is more an out and out DM a bit more edgy. Winks is more a rolls Royce,I used to think winks could play more advanced. But more convinced now he will end up a ball playing DM like xabi Alonso carrick Pirlo.could probably have a 3 with Skipp in middle winks eriksen either side but might be a bit lightweight. I think of all our 4 young CMs Onomah is the most attacking. Winks TOB Skipp are all quite similar.

Was just messing around and came up with this team average 20.1 ( excluding a keeper)
4-3-3
KWP
Foyth
Sanchez
Davies
Winks
Skipp
TOB
Edwards
Dele
Kane

Love to see if they could beat a mid table PL team.

Don't see him (Winks) that way at all to be honest. He's more poor mans Modric for me. Don't think he'll ever reach that level but that's how I see him.

Great if true but I doubt it. I was thinking though he is probably as close to the first team as any other youth players, especially being the only DM and quality one at that in the academy with Wanayama still out it would be great for him to play or at least feature.
I'm right with you. I doubt it will happen, but would love it to be true. Even if he was just on the bench. Likewise with TOB.

Can you tell from that squad list if anyone has been bumped up to the seniors?

Well TOB and Georgiou arent listed but they havent been involved much in youth matches anyway due to involvement youth national teams and the first team squad. Does it mean they'll be involved? No as they havent beent involved in first team matched bar the odd bench appearance to make up the numbers. So unless we have to make up the numbers somewhere i doubt you'll see a youth player involved
