They've got nothing to play for really, assuming that Madrid beat APOEL, or do they want to drop into the Europa League ?

Well, probably... it's only British and Italian clubs who think they are too good for the EL.

It's not about being too good for it, it's about the fact the EPL and Serie A are the two most competitive domestic leagues. It's a lot easier to care about the EL when a lot of your domestic matches are basically "gimmee's".

Makes sense. Try and top the group now rather than having to throw all our eggs into the final game basket. I just hope they are all actually 100% fit to play.
