He's played about 3 games in all of 2017.....we went on our best run last season without him......Davies has been excellent though not as eye catching as Rose, so I don't think it would be end of the world if he went.

But.....I don't want us selling to Man U.

We all thought we were really clever getting £54m for Walker but all we did was solve a major problem for Man City who are now 11 points ahead of us and we're not even in December yet.

I wouldn't say never ever sell to a rival but those deals are often ones you come to regret.

I'd keep the ungrateful little shit and tell him to prove he's as good as he thinks he is.

If we hadn’t sold ManC Walker then they could have gone out and bought an even better player and been even stronger.

The way they play can you imagine how many more goals and chances they’d have with Trippier as their rwb instead of Walker? Even Aurier would have been better value as he’s the same player as Walker but younger, and they also could have got Danny Alves and a couple of others around Europe.

I think it was a win/win. By selling them Walker we made them a little bit weaker than they could have been and we ended up no weaker at all and 50m up.

I think we can do the same with Rose to ManU.

This logic doesn’t always apply, but with these two (Walker and Rose) I think it does because the perception of their worth greatly outstrips their actual value and ability.

Davies has already matched Rose in goals and assists in 50% of the time. And we aren’t conceding any more either.

With a bit of imagination and good coaching ManU could do better than Rose. We have.

Completely disagree.

If there was a better player than Walker available to them they would have signed that player instead.

If they would have wanted Trippier, who came through their academy, they would have signed him instead, or indeed Aurier.

They couldn't have signed Alves, he was only ever going to PSG.

They signed Walker because he is the best RB in the Premier League and the best then could get.

To say they are weaker than they would otherwise have been because we sold them the best RB in the league two years running is utterly absurd.

I still think peak Rose is better than peak Davies.

So Danny Alves isn't a better RB than Walker ? Only if you disagree with this is it absurd. They chose Walker for various reasons, all understandable, but that doesn't mean they couldn't be playing with a better RB right now.

Walker is not the best right back in the league in the opponents half. Fact. And in the type of systems we and City play, that's a major factor. He may be a better defender than Tripper, but that doesn't make him the overall "best" even if true, and even if he is, it's only marginal. He's not as clever as Tripper either, which evens out some of Walker's physical advantages.

Trippier rarely gets in behind opposing teams, which Walker did and still does now.

I think you misread my post.

They missed out on Alves, who only wanted PSG so he could reunite with his Brazil teammates.

You implied in your earlier post that Trippier or Aurier were better than Walker. I don't think it is controversial for me to say that in my opinion they are both inferior players, I think most people would agree with that.

There are some things which Trippier does better, Trippier crosses the ball better for example, but all things considered I would pick Walker over Trippier ever time and our manager obviously thinks the same as he consistently picked Walker ahead of Trippier before Walker was tapped up by City.

I would have much rather we had sold Trippier to City for 25m than Walker for 50m. But that is just my opinion, I think Trippier is a capable player with the potential to get better, I support him and hope he does well for Spurs.

Aurier I was initially very excited about but he was so bad against Palace and got himself sent off against West Ham...I have some doubts about him.

It doesn't matter who is the better player as of now we have Trippier and they have Walker.
Considering Walker had told Poch he was finished with us (My hearts not here anymore or similar) and wanted out there's no point in discussing it anymore. Especially in the Danny Rose thread.

I think Aurier will be a quality full back but in a years time.

If he doesn't want to be here then f him, is Davies as good as prime Rose? No because Davies hasn't hit his prime bit he's pretty damn close, Davies has been one of our stand out players this season, has been more productive than I remember DR being and has been one of our most creative players, think prime Rose shades it but only just against Davies who isn't in his prime, think we will get the Fulham guy over the Celtic guy too

Would love to get both Sessegnon and Tierney. If Rose wants to stay and is fully committed to the club then fine. If not we have to sell him to the highest bidder and move on. I think he's not getting any younger and who is honestly going to get him to a higher standard than MoPo?

I’m still not convinced Danny has travelled to Dortmund you know, despite Poch apparently saying he has.
Not seen him in any of the pics/videos
