An English team will eventually prove to be our Achilles heel I think. I would rather play them in a one off match in the final, on a neutral ground. I wouldn't fancy our chances of getting a point or a win at Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford.
I admire your stance, but I believe in a certain dose of cynicism in these things. Early on in the knock-out stages, I'd prefer the other giants to face each other as much as possible, so that they can eliminate one another.Look if we want to win this thing then we have to face a Bayern or Juve eventually so why not knock them out now ? We can beat any side in Europe over 2 legs. Don't get me wrong, i would like an easy draw and I think we deserve an easier game considering finishing 1st in this tough group but we can beat anyone
Yes your not wrong there mate.An English team will eventually prove to be our Achilles heel I think. I would rather play them in a one off match in the final, on a neutral ground. I wouldn't fancy our chances of getting a point or a win at Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford.
That's my feeling too.An English team will eventually prove to be our Achilles heel I think. I would rather play them in a one off match in the final, on a neutral ground. I wouldn't fancy our chances of getting a point or a win at Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford.
Are we assured 2nd leg home tie as group winners ? Or it’s how the balls come out ?
Yeah classic Mourinho if we got United. Park the bus at Wembley and wait for us not to turn up for the OT leg again. An English team will eventually prove to be our Achilles heel I think. I’ve a feeling whoever wins it this year is going to have beat 2 English teams.imo there will be at least 4 English teams in 1/4 finals. Imagine beating pool United and Chelsea in final
It's head to head before goal difference. Why does everyone (media, fans...literally everyone) keep referring to us as "group winners"?
If we lose to Apoel and Real beat Dortmund, we will finish second. Real is only 3 points behind and already has better goal difference than us.
