I don't think I've seen a new signing fit so seamlesslessy for us. Seeing new things in his game with every outing. Incredible development really, given his age and moving to a new country. So solid defensively, pace to burn, composed on the ball, good with distribution. I was impressed today with the fact that he's pretty effective with both feet. Think we're also going to see him using his pace and skill to drive forward into attacking spaces more in the future.

I never thought I'd see the day that someone made £42m look cheap fro a CB. I have only one criticism of him, and that is I feel on the odd occasion he can go to ground a bit quickly. I don't want to use the word rash, but there are times, maybe only a couple, maybe more, where he was coming round to sweep, and I felt he could have taken a touch past the defender or just knock it out of play but he slid in, and almost missed it or made a poor contact and the ball almost fell to the opposition. Literally the only critique I've had of him so far. Even if he didn't change that, he is so good everywhere else I wouldn't really care as it hasn't cost us.

Absolutely quality signing. Not massively known but we saw the ability and we put the money up. Much prefer that risk than the 10/12m chance signings

This guy is a Rolls-Royce of a defender, has just about everything you need in spades. It's not the ridiculous speed and quickness or his imperiousness in the air, it's his consistent composure and confidence to always make the right defensive choice.

I feel 100% safe with Sanchez in any situation, how is he only 21? If he continues at this rate Barca and Madrid will come sniffing sooner rather than later IMO.

If he continues at this rate then Pique and Ramos will be knocking down Levy's door, desperate to engineer a move to Spurs to play with Sanchez before their career is over

Or more likely, his agent will whisper to him to go knocking down Levy's door to demand a move to one of the money clubs.

He was quite imperious again last night. Magnificent addition to our squad.

I was impressed with their young CB too. Only 18, 6'2" and very capable.
Wouldn't mind him along side Sanchez in the future.

Well at this rate he's going to surpass Toby and Jan. Probably won't take that long as well.

Is it just me or should Dier be playing right and Sanchez through the middle? He's got the pace to cover Verts and Eric yet they are the better ball players so left and right of him would give them better angles. Even Toby played right of him, but since I was at Wembley for the Palace game I'm seeing teams forcing us to the right and making him play the ball out.

I’ve wondered that myself but thought maybe Sanchez had been put on right to cover Trippier not being the paciest?
