Recorded the game so just finished watching. This was a superb performance from start to finish I thought. The commentators were saying we were poor first half but actually I thought we controlled it really well. Two lapses when we played a high line and their striker was not offside and missed a sitter and also we were not tight enough for the goal. Other than that I thought we controlled and created a number of chances.

Second half we continued the same. Maybe pressed a bit further forward which led to the goals. The back 3 were immense I thought, as well as Winks and Son. But it's not right to pick out individuals as a great team display. Almost the perfect away European performance.

And the Spurs fans were great as well. A super chant of 'Being a Yid' for seemingly 10 mins continuous in the first half.

Looking forward to Saturday now to keep this momentum and start to catch City!!

Two fingers up to Phil McNulty and Jamie Redknapp who are an absolute biased disgrace. All they seem to do is lie in wait for a bad Spurs result and up they pop like bad pennies immediately after predicting the apocalypse at Spurs. They are bandwagon jumpers of Spurs doom, Oi McNulty, after Liverpool let a 3 goal lead slip are you going to write a long article full of criticism about why they won't win the Champions League ? I bet not !! Oi Redknapp, after Liverpool surrender a 3 goal lead are you going to bang on about Coutinho Firmino and Salah needing to leave for bigger clubs and all that shit ? No you won't. Will you give Spurs the credit they rightly deserve after that 2-1 win in Dortmund as quickly as you heaped criticism on us after we lost to Arsenal, no you won't !! Piss off you couple of bellends !!! COYS lets go marching on !!!!

So, from kick off until we equalised 22 pages, then only five pages until Llorente missed that chance....... which resulted in five more speedy pages in the few minutes until the final whistle as everyone rushed to get a moan in :D

For once, we win a (mini) league and this thread is dead. Not even 40 pages.

My sherlock gland says quite a few of you lot get a monster stuffy for a moan up, win and you ain't interested :woot:

In fairness (if there should be any) to McNulty, he does reply to Tweets, whether they be critical or not. On balance when he does report on Liverpool of Spurs (or any team for that matter) he is fairly balanced, factual in his summing up and as positive about Spurs as he is critical.

For my money John Cross is the biggest culprit of bias against Spurs and although he was quite complimentary on Sunday Supplement last week, when he is on the Keys and Gray show each Friday his Woolwich bias shines through.

As for Redknapp, Carrigher, or even Owen and the like well anyone is plain daft if they think they are going to be objective.

The very least your can say about John Cross is that he doesn't really try to hide his Arse bias though. It's like criticizing Wright or Henry for being Arsenal biased. There are far worse journos who love sticking the boot into us. Mostly those Sun hacks like Jiggins.

This team has come from behind so many times that I rarely panic when we go a goal down early in a game.
That's hit the nail on the head. In days gone by, my main emotion watching Spurs was a sense of "FFS, we don't look like scoring and now we're a goal down...". These days, with Son, Erikson and Kane on the pitch, and with our Thor-like centre backs going up for corners, you always feel we're in with a chance.

Urrrgh, are they still getting work?
I'm glad they're not about on these shores anymore.

Forgot to mention: Yarmalenko was outstanding.

Don't watch much of him, but of what I have seen of him this was his best performance.

I've seen/heard more positive and complimentary comments about us from Wright than from that CAUC Cross. To be fair, Wright is entitled to be biased, for god's sake, but Cross is allegedly a "sports journalist" ... so, in theory, is supposed to be objective. But he's just a Gooner with a typewriter (showing my age here)... or rather with a laptop. I can only assume that the reason his editor doesn't sack him is because he too is anti-Spurs (probably a Spammer).
