It looks like he has had his left arm tattooed recently.

By the way, is he is of Nigerian or Ghanaian descent? I always thought he was Nigerian but his surname is similar to his Villa teammate Adomah, who is Ghanaian.
Ghanaian decent.

Might sound crazy. But anyone think he could be converted to a striker. We have a load of talented CM winks TOB Skipp etc. But can’t find a decent kane back up. He has the physical attributes, likes a shot, decent pace strength good touch. I always love that when a player can’t quite cut it in their original position then get converted to another and are a revelation. Probably being a bit fanciful but you never know.

Depends on whether Poch is ready to think outside the box. He could at least be more effective than Llorente in the pressing game.

Josh Onomah believes he will return to Tottenham Hotspur a vastly-improved player.

The midfielder won the World Cup win England U20s in the summer and has already made a mark in the Championship with three goals and a string of impressive performances.

But he’s desperate to add a promotion-winning campaign to his CV before even thinking about his White Hart Lane future.

“Obviously I want to do well here and help Villa get promoted, then go back to my parent club and get back in the team,” said Onomah.

“There is a lot of competition but that is football for you. You have to take it on board.

“Promotion is the aim now at Villa.

“We believed from the start of the season with the players we had, the staff we had.

“We believed we could get promoted.

“We are just taking every game as it comes and hopefully come May we are where we want to be.”

Boss Steve Bruce has spoken highly of the 20-year-old who has had a big impact since arriving on a season-long loan.

He admits that a permanent move is unlikely, though, as Villa simply don’t have the money available to buy him, plus Spurs also have plans of their own for his future.

Onomah admits he is still learning the ropes and that there’s plenty more to come.

And the remainder of the season at Villa will help his development before he returns to the Premier League regardless next term.

“The last few months have been like a dream, really.

“From winning the World Cup, it had never been done before. Scoring for the under-21s as well, it was a massive moment for me.

“I just have to keep on going. I just have to carry on in this positive mood.”

So how does he do that?

“It’s the people around me.

“The experienced players here, they keep me level headed and remind me I have not reached where I want to reach yet.

“Last season I did not play as much as I would have liked.

“This season I am playing and enjoying it.

“The gaffer is always talking to me, being positive with me.

“A manager like that, who played in the Premier League and had a good career, it’s good to learn from him.”

“Obviously I want to do well here and help Villa get promoted, then go back to my parent club and get back in the team,” said Onomah.

IMO he looks a lot more assured in himself and his style. I remember he always used to fall over himself but looks much more comfortable now, almost dembele like and tbh it seems like he's got even more end product than mouss so i reckon he could come in ready to be a first teamer, replacing dembele, next year if all goes to plan

Also, has anyone come across one of them player performance vids for his game last night, would appreciate it being posted here if so. Cheers

If he can sort his positioning and decision making he’ll be a star, but that’s easier said than done.

He’s pretty stacked now! Needs to be hungrier to get the ball back and more disciplined (he’s no AM) but if he can do that he’ll be a prem player

Has he improved on his defensive discipline/postitioning? Or has he been played in an more advanced role and
Can't wait for the Winks Onomah CM combo next season.

In a sense, Winks development and performances as a DM/holding CM bode well for Onomah. I believe he's been played further forward for Villa but Josh's best performances came in the U20 WC where he was deployed as a deepest lying CM. For whatever reason, Poch and Bruce don't trust him as a holding CM but paired with Winks in the midfield, I can see him excelling as a Box 2 Box mid for us.

Ghanaian decent.

This isn't crazy important, but if I'm not mistaken, it's actually Nigerian. Look at his middle name Oghenetega. I believe the Nigerian FA was after him for international purposes.
