And yet after he gave the ball away, Sanchez was bullied, and Lloris completely wrong footed. Any mistake on the halfway line can contribute to a goal, but never be solely responsible.

For sure the collective fuck up Saturday see Rooney goal last night.

That goal has summed up how we have been lately sloppy and not focused that would not have happened when we are on form imo.

Yeah, we're off the mark right now. Just think it's unfair to lump so much of it on Dele, a player who in recent weeks has usually been behind our brighter spots.

Damn right. Maybe we need to bring Jenas out of retirement, for Dele and Eriksen's sake,.

Lloris

Foyth Sanchez Jan

Trippier Winks Dembele Rose

Lamela Son

Kane

Subs: Aurier, Davies, Dier, Eriksen, Dele, Sissoko, Llorente

I suspect Lamela isn’t ready to start but I don’t care, get him out there setting the tone early doors and bring him off when he’s shagged. We can’t afford another slow, ponderous start

If we can get Foyth into the fold could really help us with rotation in December.

Man Utd has shown a high press is effective against them. We should copy that! Given that i'd only swap Son for Dele and leave the rest unchanged.

This whole drop Dele thing has gotten way out of control now. Has assisted three of our last four goals.

Dele has always been the same, he gives the ball away a lot because he try’s things and they don’t always come off but he has always contributed with goals and assists.

Key will be a fast start. I fear another L if we go behind early.

...mentally-weak (per Poch) Lamela got an assist in garbage time when Leicester had the game well in hand..."amazed" that some think swapping him in for Eriksen or Alli is the fix for our poor winger play caused by letting Walker go and letting Rose get distracted...

Dier Winks
GKN lamela Son

Vorm; Foyth; KWP; Dele; Eriksen; Edwards; Llorente

Why the fuck not I say. Play that team on the counter and bring the other two on after 50-60 minutes when erik and gkn get tired. You can't reward shit performances and you have to reward good ones. Having said that all 4 of our fullbacks have turned in shite games over the last two matches but i think serge and danny offer more going forward, at least with their ability to keep running and beat a player/make runs behind the defensive line

don't want to tempt fate but Trippier has a good record v Watford, something like 1 goal and 3 or 4 assist

I'll be a lot more optimistic if Lamela starts, although I agree with it being unlikely. I can just envision things ticking more and a much higher chance of us being creative. It's weird because I should be feeling the same regarding Alli and Eriksen but I'm not, I just don't trust in them to deliver for us with the way they've been playing and that leaves too much of a responsibility on players that don't really contribute greatly in an offensive sense.

Think Eriksen might just need a rest, he can sit this one out assuming Lamela is ready to play 90 mins and we can give edwards a shot v APOEL with the group secured.

we play APOEL in the U23 tournament and believe we need a win to top that group. all our U23's won't see the main squad this week

I'd rather them get first team experience than play against APOEL U19's, there should be enough quality in that youth side to beat them anyway.
