Do people believe Marcus would have been offered a substantial contract if his attitude was poor? Marcus knows exactly what is expected of him and that was explained before the contract was offered. If his attitude was crap and he was just in it for the money then he could have signed for Chelsea who offered double his wages.

Marcus believes in Spurs and Poch.

Poch loves Marcus and rates him incredibly highly but also understands it will take time for Marcus to mature in all aspects. There's zero issues or conflict. This is all simply stirred up by people on twitter who just want to see a young kid with lots of skills thrown into the deep end. Unfortunately for those people it doesn't work like that, and thankfully the coaching staff and the club know what's best for all the players.

Marcus's time will come but people have to be patient.

Agree with your reasons for the CB situation but as a fan of CCV Tanganga is closing the gap between the two players,CCV is ahead because of the experience he is getting now.

You are right it's not about age, it's about maturity, both physically and mentally.

I'm all for being patient, but this is the *perfect* game to give him half an hour from the bench (at least). Not just him, other talented youngsters too.

I think also that Poch has heavily implied in his press conference that *something* isn't right there, and I personally think he's gone about that the wrong way.

Carter-Vickers is hugely overrated on this forum as things stand. He might become a starter in the future, given his age I'll reserve judgment, but he is quite clearly not of senior squad capability yet.

And clearly given the fact he's including Amos and Sterling, he recognises it's the right opportunity, but for whatever reason, Edwards, in the coaches eyes, is undeserving of this opportunity.

He is physically the Strongest player I have seen come from our youth setup, but he has a weakness when he comes up against a Striker with good movement and the premier league is full of this type of player so he has something to work on.
For the Record I am a fan.

He is constantly proclaimed as a given part of the senior squad "next season". Then next season starts, and he is nowhere to be found in the ongoing senior ranks. That's what I'm referring to, this assumption that there is no question about his senior abilities "next season". We literally don't know yet.
