think we can put, "Edwards has an attitude problem" narrative to rest. If he had one he wouldnt have signed a new contract or played as well as he did today. He's a young man that comes from a good family, think we need to stop reading so heavily into every single micro-management decision that is made about Marcus and just let him progress at his own pace.

Also good to remember that when people talk about attitude they aren't necessarily saying he's a "bad boy", but perhaps more to application in different aspects of the game.

Are you allowed to film?
There's a sign at the entrance that says strictly no photography. But I suppose filming isn't photography

good point, I think his inconsistency in workrate, is more physical, then a mental issue. Wouldnt describe him as lazy, just lacking the physical capacity to press and have a high work rate.

F**king Paddy Power wanted to put a bet on Sterling to get the last goal and the F***ers have never heard of him, keep trying to tell me Sterling plays for City.

I don't think it's physical maturity because from what I can see, Amos is tall but very slight and I'd imagine that he'd be easy to knock off the ball as well. Marcus also has a very low centre of gravity which would make that hard to do to him. It has to be mental maturity but i can't see it being a massive issue when he goes out there and plays fairly well after getting told he won't play for the first team. His work ethic in (the admittedly few) youth games that I've watched seems to be fine and in this comp (UYL) he's been tearing teams apart consistently.

It makes no sense to me because he's clearly our most talented prospect yet can't get near the match day squad whilst the likes of Lesniak, Georgiou and now Amos have. Winks is the only player that poch has brought through really but that doesn't surprise me when the players he gives those opportunities to aren't generally good enough to make it long term.

Got to feel for Sterling, he spent as much time on the sideline waiting to come on as he did on the pitch.

Of course, of course. It's the double standards that irk me. Danny Rose can call up The Sun and deliver an embarrassing story to them which questions the chairman, manager and squad and come back into the fold after making an apology. But Marcus Edwards - the most technically gifted youngster we've developed in years - cannot get any gametime in nearly 18 months and could potentially start to have his head turned because he's perceived to not be 100% team-focused? I just don't get it.

I'm not articulating myself partcularly well in this thread; it's difficult because there are so many back and forths... but I've started writing something and will post it here when it's done. It'd be good to get your views.

Not to mention dropping 25m on “mr fucking very publicly not team centric” Aurier, rather than persisting with “mr ten years at Spurs, model pro” KWP.

Guess he could have been brought on sooner seeing as we were 2 nil up in a dead rubber, but I guess 5 mins at the end are more meaningful. Anyway another player integrated into the squad by Poch, good stuff.

Only went today to see our youth players play a let down in that regard but not really surprised, At least KWP got some minutes out of position again, I hope he remembers how to play at RB, if he does go on loan.

KWP only on for 20 mins. But looks so calm and assured. Would have him over Aurier in a heartbeat. Literally hold my breath anytime Aurier is near the ball.
