Stupid question, I know, (probably been asked before then ), but how do they get the cranes out from the middle now the stands are complete? I am presuming with another bigger crane that's outside

hope they leave 1 handy for when I visit and get stuck in the top tier, no way am I walking up all those steps with my dodgy knees and hips.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I haven't seen anything in the past couple pages, but is everything running schedule with this build?

No-on can know for sure, but it appears so. It was mentioned on SSC that the roof people may actually be ahead of schedule, but to do the final lifting of that, they require the South Stand structure to be complete, so quite a lot resting on that at the moment. The tree installation seemed to go smoothly and the large rakers for the upper South arrived on site today, so all seems well.

Thank you for that! Real informative and sounds like things are working out :)

I don't think he heard you because I am sure he does not post here. He is on Sky Scraper City.
Ah well there you are then, I'm not.
I just love the way you see things happening and realise how much is getting done.

Nice piece of steel assembled ready to go up on the western tree. WOW how big is that going to make the south stand.

Also readying one for the eastern tree too.

Donna Cullen was quoted last week as saying everything is on schedule. I thought it was posted here but it might have been on COYS. I'm still hearing otherwise, but it's third hand information, and as I'd rather believe her I'm going to ignore any news I don't like!

On a general point, I think where the "on schedule" or not is getting confused, with people hearing different things, is between it being on schedule for day one of next season or it being on schedule for us to play in next season. I.e. If we get the first 4 home games moved to away then it might be ready (with other smaller works going on during the season like at althletico Madrid's new ground) for us to play in. So that wouldn't be "on schedule" but we'd still be there next season.

As long as the safety board gives the go ahead to have spectators on the grounds, I am fine if final touches are being made 16 games in. It is paramount to have it open next year IMO. The energy surrounding the club with a new ground would be breathtaking.

There are also likely to be differences as to what is on schedule. The most important part is to keep what's called "the critical path" on schedule. For the benefit of those who may not know what it is, it is those activities which rely on something else being done first and which have other activities relying on them to be done. Provided those activities on the critical path are kept on schedule then any other activities which are stand alone, can fall behind schedule as they can be done late, up to a point, without affecting the completion date.

I had my Premium Seat viewing at weekend - and they said the build is 6 weeks ahead schedule currently.

:)
