Listened to the Telegraphs football podcast while driving to work. One of the segments was Lukaku and Kanes scoring drought.

Sort of a strange debate to have when he's scored in three consecutive games before Watford. And I think he played fairly well against Watford. Their plan was obviously to foul him out of the game, which the ref was more than happy to allow, but he played some good stuff when he managed to wriggle himself loose.

The bloody 4 season wonder is at it again today with another brace

Joins Les Bennett in Tottenham’s all time record goalscorers with 117 goals in all competitions

He’s reached that total in 110 games less than Les (185)

90 league goals now in only 128 games. Quite remarkable

Wembley were in shock first half today when he missed a 1 on 1 with the keeper. Sent him the wrong way but shot the wrong side of the post

The Harricane is human after all

And not even playing that well imo. That’s in comparison with Liverpool, where he was spectacular. But still bangin them in. Wonder if he is still carrying a knock, just hasn’t looked quite as good as he did in that game. But one thing I’ve noticed lately is his passing which is sublime at times.

That control and pass that he hit to Trippier in the second half was majestic.

But nah, all he does is score goals.

It’s called Sports Personality of the Year. Description of the award:

Awarded to the sportsperson "whose actions have most captured the public's imagination"

You missed the hidden "has to be able to beat the offside trap" clause.

Think this speaks volumes about Kane, that I was so shocked when he missed that one on one today, immense player.

He looked so cross today that he didn't fill his books. Shocked that he missed two sitter! So shocked in fact we will just forget them as the exceptions that rove the rule. the rule is that Harry Kane doesn't miss ... much

I’m sure it’s 50 now

7 for England maybe?
Not sure, that’s why I stuck the question mark on there. Listening to the commentary, he said that Kane had scored 42 in 42 when he scored his first. I haven’t checked to see so you could well be right.

Well done to the lad, can't help thinking he looks bigger and less mobile this year though. Maybe the kit isn't as sleek? I dunno, just think he looks bigger.

Agree. Past few matches still abit leggy and top heavy. Definitely not as fit and quick as start of the season.
