Huddersfield battered this lot. Anything other than a comfortable win isn't good enough.

Drop Dele into midfield alongside Winks and start Lamela in the 3 behind Kane. Full backs will depend on what the plan is for City.

We have to pick Wednesday's team with City in mind.

.

Exactly. Which is why I expect Sissoko to start and so should everyone else - to preempt the inevitable moaning.

Even a case for Llorente to start over Kane. We bought him for rotation. This is the type of game we need to be rotating our second string through.

We had today won by 60 and Kane played the full 90. :D

Although I reckon Kane's one of the fittest players going around so I've never really bought into the "he looks knackered" meme - but Dembele and Winks need rotating with Dier needed in the Back 4 and Wanyama out.

the full back rotation has always been big for Poch but more so with the size of the wembley pitch it seems to be honest

Anyone but Sissoko in the middle. He massively limits us and just leaves Winks to create. Dembele needs resting for Citeh so I’d bring Foyth in and move Dier in next to Winks. I’d like to keep fullbacks from today but Poch will rotate. I can’t imagine Lamela is ready to start yet. Fantastic to see him playing again though. Such a great option from the bench. We’ve misssd him. Dele will find his form again. He’s still making the runs, goals will come. I thought he played well in the 2nd half.
Or Sissoko anywhere. I don't mind him on the bench but we are worse for it when he starts

We need to balance using the squad with getting results. The likes of Sissoko, N’Koudou, Lamela and Llorente will need to be used more in the next few weeks, especially if Toby and Victor are not back until next year. The game against Brighton is probably the best one to rotate for.

Lloris
Aurier Dier Vertonghen Rose
Winks
Eriksen Lamela Son
Alli
Kane

Subs: Vorm, Walker-Peters, Davies, Foyth, Nkoudou, Dembele, Llorente

I imagine we'll see Dembele in for Lamela and sit alongside Winks though. Give Trippier a rest.

Can't see Dembele starting three games in a week. Wrap him up in cotton wool for City.

Get this game won first half, and get Eriksen and Kane off with a view to City.

Can see a case for

Lloris

Aurier
Vertonghen
Davies
Rose

Dier
Winks

Dele
Eriksen
Son

Kane

Would love to see Lamela start but might be a bit too soon. Dembele needs to be available for MC.

Sissoko's best game for us last season was City at home. Him and Walker doubled up on Sterling and eventually Pep had to move him to the other flank as he couldn't get in the game.

We are likely to lose away at City as most teams are, anything we take from that game is a bonus. We absolutely cannot afford to drop points at home to a team like Brighton, which we have done already this season too many times. We'll get more points for beating Brighton 1-0 and then getting spanked 5-0 on Saturday than to draw both games.

If Verts gets another booking in this game, he'd miss the City game. With that in mind, I'd use Rose as a pacier left sided defensive cover next to Verts against Brighton.

Edit: I know this won’t happen - and it probably shouldn’t - but I’m not a Premiership manager, so who gives a f***?

This should be the first page in the match day thread. Sissoko is going to start vs Brighton people on here need to get used to this concept
