They will say dele rested/rotation but he’s dropped. Poch said before Apoel he was fresh after missing 3 CL. If anyone would be rested be eriksen.

You've gone so far into the "Dele isn't actually that good" side that you genuinely want him to remain in bad form (to the detriment to us achieving things) in order to prove your point. It's really weird. It's not twilight #TeamDele #TeamErik.

With dele on the bench I fully expect the press tomorrow make up some bollocks about a bust up with poch even if we win comfortably tonight

Pretty sure I saw a Spanish Rosetta Stone sticking out of his backpack when he walked in tonight.

I think people forget that dele is only 21. The expectation of him is immense as was the hype. When he doesn't match it then certain people slaughter him for it.
We have a fantastic player that is still learning his trade. Try and support him.

Would have started Trippier and Davies in this one and Aurier and Rose vs City. Hope Poch decides to shock us all and sticks with Aurier and Rose for Saturday as well. Big, unneeded risk starting Vertonghen a yellow away from a 1 game ban with City next. Massive risk. But happy to see Lamela back in the XI. This probably isnt Dele being dropped as much as it's him being rested with City coming up.

He is taking a risk with Vertonghen being one yellow card away from a one game ban. I really hope it doesn't backfire for the City game coming up next.

I hope we get a comfortable enough lead that gives him the option of bringing him off so he's available for the City game on Saturday.

Taken from the Beeb -

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "We believe he [Erik Lamela] is in good form. He is ready to compete again. It is good for the team to rest players and rotate. It is important during such a busy period.

"It is a little bit about everything. To provide the team with freshness and to be competitive in every single game. We believe with the players we have picked today we can beat Brighton. Every game is tough but it is important to have different facility to play and win games.

"The philosophy of the Brighton manager, who we know well, is to keep the ball and play on the grass. They are having a good season. It will be tough."

Why is everyone talking about team selection based on preparing for the City game? This match is worth 3 points as well
Or am I too simple?
