On a positive note, I think Lamela looks bright.. I'd rather see him go a bit more central 2nd half, playing off of Kane, he has that eye for a pass like. I other in our team in tight areas.

He's so busy, buzzing around constantly looking for the ball and wanting to offload again as quickly as possible - he's like the anti-Dele.

Trouble is his fellow players aren't really on the same wavelength at the moment and there's very little movement around the box for Lamela to look for. Still, he's playing well and positively contributing.

I know that result is more important than style but... ehh.... can't they entertain us just a little? 60k fans freezing out there, give them some fun. There are big moments where we are playing so slow and safe it just hurts.

We are usually woeful against teams who park the bus. No surprise they do it, especially when they’re away to us.
Oh I know why they do it, however I would be embarrassed to watch my team play like that, think I would rather watch my team get smashed by 7 goals than to watch them waste time from the 1st minute and barely see the football.

well you wouldn't if there was a hope you'd get the point that might keep your team in the premier league next season!!

When teams are parking the bus, sitting with a deep line just inside their own area, I don't know why we don't try and trouble them by hitting a few long shots in. Even if they dont go in, but are on target, they're gonna have to have someone step out and try and block eventually, which will create spaces.

I’d have Sissoko off for Dele on 60 mins. We need to move the ball quicker in the final 1/3. Story of our season against teams that sit back. We’ve played well though. Just move the ball quicker.

It's a humungous credit to Winks that Poch trusts him to play there, but Ideally you don't really want Winks playing as the central stabilising CM off which Eriksen and Sissoko pivot in the 433, you really want him where Sissoko is(and Sissoko at home watching it on TV), playing without brakes on, more as an 8, getting forward with more freedom where he can take more chances with the ball.

I'd have Sissoko sho......I mean subbed at ht, chuck Dembele into the central role and either push Winks into the Sissoko spot or go 4231 and push Eriksen up to ACM.

Their CM three are very well drilled shuttling across leaving no space for passes between the lines, Most joy has come from when Jan or Dier have tried to pass between the lines before their CM's get in position.

Otherwise we are solely reliant on players beating a man to create, which unless it's Son, doesn't really happen.

Yep, totally agree.. if Winks is a Modric like player, we need a Scott Parker type next to him.. Wanyama... we are so very nearly close.

Lamela looking good.

Considering how long he has been out and the seriousness of his injury it's a fucking miracle how fast he seems to have came back and hit the ground running. Shows just how much effort he has but into his rehab.

Think Jan is 1 yellow card away from an automatic ban. Would be good if we could get a 2nd goal and take him off and protect him.

What has Sissoko done that others arent culpable of as well?
