For 20 years I’ve planned my year ahead around Spurs fixtures. Planned my weekends round them. Friends and family know that they need to prepare to plan around them. I very rarely miss a league game at home and it has become habit for me and nearly 30,000 other Spurs fans. There’s tens of thousands of Spurs fans who are new to this level of commitment. Especially at this time of year. It’s fine in August when you’ve just got your first season ticket. But a few months later you’re still adjusting your life around it and Christmas may be adding to your other distractions, financially and time wise. It’s a transitional period. Fans will come and go. The hardcore will mostly remain and will slowly build until they too have wondered what they could have spent 20 years worth of ticket money, travel money and other Spurs related expenses on.

I should have got a dog. Although it would have gone the same way as Ken Dodd’s Dad’s one by now.

I suspect some of the long distance fans might have thought twice about coming last night, especially season ticket holders, I thought twice about it and definitely wouldn't have chanced it the night before.
Night game just before Christmas against Brighton at wembley, with all the other distractions I guess 46,000 isn't that unexpected, I'm just happy the rain had stopped by the final whistle, queing for the train in the pissing rain isn't my idea of fun.
Funny thing is that had we been at White Hart Lane with 36,000 capacity we would still have had empty seats, funny how it works isn't it.

Bearing in mind that 46k is still 10k more than we could fit in WHL I'd say that's not bad for a very cold Wednesday night, week before xmas.

I live in Hampshire so travelling up to Wembley is expensive and a ball ache on a Saturday, let alone a week night with work the next day.

We're doing pretty well overall for attendances in my view so this doesn't bother me.
Same. I live in Andover and work in Basingstoke so after a midweek night game, 8pm kick off, I get home anywhere between half midnight and 2am depending on how quickly I get to Waterloo. Still went last night mind you.

I find leaving 5 minutes early gets me home about 2 hours sooner.
On a weekend that doesn't bother me, on a work night when I know my little one will wake me up multiple times and an early start the next day - I'm out of there on 85 minutes and halfway to the station....when Son scores :ROFLMAO:

Last night was the third Wembley match in 8 days. Pretty damn good going really as other posters have mentioned with Christmas and Hanukkah too.

Come all ye faithful.

And yet it's still more than we would have got at WHL (obviously) and I am not convinced that it would have been a sell out had we still been there or had many more than 10k of fans wanting to go.

I drove to Finchley road and got the tube from there. So 2 hours to go one stop on the tube and drive for 15 minutes

Try the overground from gospel oak change at willesdon to wembley central. Take longer to get there but quicker coming back. Depending on where you live in highgate might not even need the car.

The Arse dead rubber E.League match last week against Bate Borisov was the lowest ever attendance for
a competitive match at the Emirates.

It was 'less than 30'000' although they say 54k tickets were sold.

BBLG I'm sure we've spoken about this years back, I live in Basingstoke so it's a very similar journey for us, longer for you in fact so credit to you. I've got a baby daughter now though so that factors in for me. When she's older and the new stadium is built I intend to go up a lot more but I still don't expect to ever be a season ticket holder. Maybe when I'm retired and have a lot more time on my hands :ROFLMAO:
