Steady on fellas, I think were doing pretty good attendance wise .

What I get from that figure is that most of the teams on that list average a near sell out apart from us.
We've had a min of 70k available for every PL game.
However those figures could be a mix of tickets sold and bums on seats so who really knows.

It's not easy fill in Wembly week in week out, NWHL seems to have been sized perfectly, nothing u can do about people not showing up who have bought a ticket.

Everywhere else? Surely the official site is the de facto ultimate authority and purist source?

You may be correct but we know the club announced the official attendance for last weeks CL at 43k (when 60k tickets sold) so why the change in policy and all in a week.

Also, there have been numerous games sold out but only early 80k attendances adding weight to that confirmed by trust.
I took a look around and estimated under 50k.
Below the black seat covers there were thousand and thousands of empty seats and everywhere around the stadium there were empty seats.

There's no way did 55k turn up.

Just because we announced a sell out vs Liverpool doesn't mean we sold 90k tickets. Thousands would have been lost just segregating the away fans. Add the odd empty seat here and there throughout the stadium and there's your magic number.

BBLG I'm sure we've spoken about this years back, I live in Basingstoke so it's a very similar journey for us, longer for you in fact so credit to you. I've got a baby daughter now though so that factors in for me. When she's older and the new stadium is built I intend to go up a lot more but I still don't expect to ever be a season ticket holder. Maybe when I'm retired and have a lot more time on my hands :ROFLMAO:

I’m yiur young daughter

Didn't see that coming

I dont think its a surprise we dont fill Wembley and i still think we wont fill NWHL every game, just because we gain that many season ticket holders dosnt mean they'll go to every games after all when they were members at the old ground we still had empty seats at some games.
Ive seen the fella thats got two tickets near me 3 times this season, normally rents it out but ive seen the empty seat more than him.

Also i agree i cant wait to leave Wembley although i also accept we had to go there to get a our new shiny ground.

Midweek, non-CL game against a promoted team, always to be expected surely ?
Agree
I couldn’t make it as had to work late but interestingly couldn’t give my season ticket away for free, with most work friends saying it’s a pain to get to in the evenings

The reasoning for this post, if anyone was in any doubt, was to try to establish whether we're likely to see a half empty NWHL next season or if it's just Wembley.

Interesting comments about loathing the people around you.
The guy behind me is so fucking annoying I'd consider paying money to move my seat.
Anyone ever tried it?

NWHL will be completely different. I've missed a couple of home games this season just because I detest Wembley and it takes so long to get home it destroys the day, miss kids bedtime etc. Don't think I've voluntarily missed one home game at the Lane in 30 years of having a season ticket, and won't once we go back.

Things will change in NWHL, Wembley is a horrible place to go. It’s just no fun, people who are gone to matches aren’t wanting to go back IMO.

This is all so different from the heady days of the 1960's and 70's when the gate count was shaved by about 10k
every match to keep the slush fund going.

Cash was king.

3 home games in 7 days can be tough to explain away to the Mrs at times. She even said I’ve seen more of Spurs than I have her over the last week (great isn’t it ha ha)

Doesn’t help that it was a late ko and v boring opposition (easily the worst / most unambitious team I’ve seen this year)

I'll have my 2 penneth.........

I was delighted to get season tickets this year but I made the decision that in general I would not do evening matches as last season I did the CL matches and i do not want to deal with getting home from Wembley after a midweek match.

Our seats are in Club Wembley so on on a weekend match we generally have a beer or two in the stadium after the match and wait for the queues to die down. That is not really a luxury I can afford midweek. I have work the next day, my son has school.

But as we live just north of Brighton and I know a lot of Brighton fans this was always one we were going to.

Last night just underlined how rubbish wembley is for getting home. Now this was not solely the fault of where wembley is positioned, there were issues with the trains last night and engineering works

I got home at 1.20am so i don't want to do more evening matches..........excpept West Ham, oh and Juve,,,,,,,,,,and Utd....

God damn my love for Tottenham!!

I know you're tired of Wembley, of Wembley
Where nobody shows love, nobody, nobody
So just scream out something, no attending this party
Without you showing some love, some lovin', some lovin'

My colleague is a Brighton season ticket holder who couldn't get a ticket for the game as he didn't have enough loyalty points and they were only allocated 2000 tickets.

Why can't we give some non away teams (not West Ham, Chelsea or Arsenal) a bigger allocation for midweek games?
