We seemed to have collapsed a little in defence, there was a spell there we'd have to score 2/3 in a game to win. I dread playing against Manchester Oilers attack as they will open us up time and time again. We have to be at our best. We could lose this 3-0 or this could be 4-4. I think I will hibernate for a while

With City next and us only joint 4th with two other teams, it still seems like we going against the tide. Our realistic goal should be 3rd though, Chelsea are lazy unless they're chasing a trophy and now the titles gone they'll struggle for motivation.

We are the team that end others teams runs remember. But we're gonna miss Toby and DS on saturday so I'd take a draw now.....

And VW!

We haven’t conceded 3 goals to a top 6 club in 25 games. We rarely get thumped. If we do it would suggest city are as good as the numbers are saying.

I was certain we'd get it but I'm having a few doubts now. Need to put a good run of wins together and sharpish.

Edit. Noticed post was pre match.
Still we have taken an absolute kicking in defence injury wise so I'm not surprised even if some are.

We have just lost ground to the top 4 teams, manure won and bindippers are 4 up. We are in danger of losing focus and becoming a maybe team. If I remember correctly the 11 players on that pitch yesterday were part and parcel of the team that came 2nd last year. They haven't all lost that touch of class. They were like zombies yesterday. The heart seems to have gone out of their game. What is the answer?

Hate to say it but the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea etc are on a different planet in attack compared to us. We have Harry Kane pulling the strings and if he ain't firing, we have nothing. We have no back up or plan B if Kane isn't scoring. The likes of Eriksen, Son and Ali etc will chip in the odd time but I feel we rely on the brilliance of Kane far to much. We have really regressed this season and half the players are playing like they don't give a shit.

Jeez chill out, We gained ground on our rivals in the week, it's not as if these results weren't expected and I expect more jousting over the Xmas period.

4th to 6 th will most likely fluctuate all season. If arsenal beat Liverpool and we beat Burnley we are back to 4th . Plus next 6 are all winnable Arsenal and pool have much tougher games. Will be nip and tuck all season I reckon.

I'm afraid that if we lose next week and that gap extends to 7 points it probably isn't going to be happening this year.

We are right in it.

Performances have dropped but likely after a good two seasons.

Regroup and go for 4th and FA cup.

Cheeky signing too ?

4th or 5th time (lost count) this season that we’ve been the only team out of the top six to lose whilst all others won, just adds to the angst each weekend will all results going against us

That's true but then as most have noted we are just not at the races this year for one reason or another top four is unlikely but then top six is our natural position anyway so we can only gain rather than lose.

No room for this sort of clarity amongst all the knee jerk.

Yeah we are definitely not out of it whatsoever. It's going to be real fight for champions league football next season. We need to put a good run together, like 5/6 wins on the bounce.
