Why didn`t do what we did against Madrid away... Llorente up top longer balls with Kane playing off him.. Strong midfield

I knew we'd line up like against Stoke. It was obvious. Poch needs to have a rethink in these big games away from home. There's no shame going there looking for a draw and not a win. Especially not today.

Can I caveat that with I hate I've written that because I want to win every game.

I expected the defeat but not the manner of the performance.

Dier is no centre half in my book,Dembele sad to say is past his best and just slows the team down & i would like to see Barkley brought in next month to replace him,Winks was poor but only young and got plenty of time ahead of him but he's a squad player and not a starter for me at the moment.
Eriksen and Dele need few games on the bench and Lamela needs to start as he brings must needed energy and drive
Davies back for Rose also.
We should of had 2 red cards and if wasn't for Hugo could have been 6 or 7 but he does give me nightmares with his passing around our penalty box..

Different level/world saw that in pre-season when they spanked us 3-0. Agree roll on to next match as soon as possible just embarrassing that no team is even competing with them now feels more and more like the Scottish Premier League.

I do absolutely hate these defeats where we capiculate such fine margins where you can attack one minute then the next get ripped to shreads. I would have been perfectly happy if we had parked eleven buses in front of them!!! Kane I worry for after this he is someone who deserves the service Citeh serve up! No wonder he took out his frustration on Sterling.

Like I always hoped with Chelski they found some corruption saga that drained all their resources suppose best keep praying on this one ffs! Psychologically feels very damaging though and so old Spurs
You are missing the point, we don't have eleven buses, we can't afford eleven buses because teams like City bought them all and forced the price up.
I don't think losing away to Man City this season is going to convince all our players to leave by the way.

The new stadium will be totally irrelevant in our quest to close the gap between us and City, Utd and Chelsea. We will always be playing catch up and the catch up will become harder and harder each year

I think that there is a limit to what any manager can do without the resources to get in players on top salaries. Poch wasn't at Southampton for a long time so who knows where he could have taken them but they are a selling club and are pretty limited. I like Poch and am happy with him as manager. Hopefully the extra revenue from the new stadium will eventually allow us to enter the top tier or we are bought by someone who is willing to pay more in wages to attract elite players and i hope that Poch is there to benefit from that.
Under Levy and Lewis that will not happen they are all about not paying the wages and making massive profit . Look back when we get in Europe, when get in champions league , when we get in new stadium what I'm saying is it's always an excuse why they don't buy top players and pay the wages. Because they want to make profit and not ambition. That is just my opinion I just hope when the stadium is built. The Enic regime sell the club to someone who wants Tottenham Hotspur to compete with the top clubs and have ambition to win trophies. Proof of that is our aweful wage structure is but there excuse is the new stadium etc always an excuse. Thirty million wasted on Sissoko that could of pay top dollar to players who deserve it I.e Kane , Toby!! I fear for us going in to the new stadium.

These reactions are funny. Poch has lost it. Eriksen is shit. Alli is shit. Dembele’s legs have gone. Dier needs to be sold Trippier not good enough. Winks not at the level.

I’m 100% certain there will be collective amnesia when we beat Burnley

Levy has had a plan though and unlike the Sugar era, it does feel like we have pushed on. Whenever I think back to those days, I feel better.

We've just been beaten by the football equivalent of a Vuitton handbag...the sugar daddy clubs have sucked the life and competition out of top level football. The whole building a dominant brand and dominating the trophy cabinet is fucking dull.

They are no joke.

They work twice as hard as us all over the park, are organised like a mofo and are dead serious about their football.

Unless we are on our A game, we won't win that.

I said we'd be in a fight for 4th place with pool, scum and one other...no idea it'd be this lot.

DC Dyche deserves the key to the city... and a go on all the board's wives.

That’s bullshit excuse making - both West Ham and Southampton took them very deep and Ciy had to dig out a result. We just strolled up and presented them the points. They can have more money and better players, but their work rate and desire put us to shame tonight.

Totally agree. We WILL lose to Burnley, because they will want to and most of our players won't turn up.

Problem is Barkley's gunna need to get match fit, never mind a Poch preseason.

We put all of our eggs in one basket and it's fucked us.

That's the key: Mentality.

If there was a 'mentality table' they would be in the top 3. They are so strong/focused, mentally, and consist with it.

We have to press them hard (at tempo), counter hard and try and win the game in the first half.

We start slow, we're done for.

Struggling to see us not losing to Burnley next week on current form. If we do, and the other teams win as usual, it could be a massive blow to our top 4 hopes. Crucial, crucial game.

I'd give Winks a little slack today as he's been playing quite a number of games this season and he has also been ill recently.

With Wanyama on a long term absence, Poch should have blooded Foyth (as a CB) for some of the games against the lower half teams (Stoke, BHA) and played Dier as DM (rotated with Winks).
