Whats even more embarrassing are supporters who were not embarrassed by our performance. By the way its "their" not "there". If you are going to be snide, at least be bulletproof!

I would imagine it is What’s not Whats but thanks for the English lesson

Which players do you guys feel are not good enough to play for Spurs?
For me it’s Trippier, Sissoko and Nkoudou

And which players would you be okay with to sell?
Trippier, Sissoko, Rose, Nkoudou and Llorente for me. Dembele is finished, he can barely walk anymore but I want him to be some sort of helping player manager for us (will never happen just a idea)

I'm ready for the abuse but I think Winks is not even an upgrade on Bentaleb.

He’s a very different player to Bentaleb and he’s going through a sticky patch

Make no mistake he has great qualities (as did Nabil)

Like what? Sorry to be rude but what are his great qualities.

He doesn't control the tempo of the game, he doesn't score. He doesn't even tackle that much. I'm struggling to find what he actually excels at, and that's a worry.

Today's game reminded me of the Chelsea and Newcastle games at the end of the 2015/16 season. Like we'd given up and couldn't be bothered to make a fight of it (apart from in a bad way...The Alli and Kane legbreakers were shocking).

I can't comprehend the thinking behind some poster's explanations for this drubbing:

"City are just a cut above."
"City have spent half a billion quid."

The only difference between this City team and the one we finished comfortably above last season is the goalkeeper and Walker (who half this forum didn't rate anyway). In addition, City played a second choice centre back pairing and were missing David Silva.

There was absolutely no excuse for the manner of this defeat bearing in mind the way we've battled (sometimes in defeat) for most of the last two and a half seasons.

Cut our losses with Trippier or convert him to a right midfielder. Guy can’t defend to save his life. What an absolutely fuckery it was selling Walker.

I have to agree with @Guntz, I can't really see what he adds other than sideways passing. I had these thoughts a while back but everyone was raving about him and I just assumed I hadn't been paying enough attention.

The players general effort and commitment has markedly dropped off, there’s no denying that. Our press is a shadow of what it once was.

That’s what’s disappointing, it’s like they don’t care that much now City have ran away with it and we see that even more in the Champions League games when suddenly that spark and fight is miraculously back ten-fold.

Not good enough - not the right mentality whatsoever.

I don’t wont to be rude but if you can’t see what he does do very well then I can’t help you

He has struggled the last couple of games but that shouldn’t take away from some great performances previously

People used to say the same about Carrick (yeah but what does he actually do)

Still very inexperienced but can become a fantastic player for both Tottenham & England if he keeps working, progressing and learning

That's being overly harsh on him after a couple of bad performances. He absolutely does control the tempo of the game, not today admittedly but he has on many occasions. His passing is always accurate and usually quicker and with more intent than our other midfielders, he has enough skill on the ball to wriggle free of pressure, and his defensive positioning is sound. And let's not forget it's only his first season as a regular starter.

Cut our losses with Trippier or convert him to a right midfielder. Guy can’t defend to save his life. What an absolutely fuckery it was selling Walker.

Trippier doesn't have the pace and dribbling to be a winger, not even close. His best crosses come either from deep, or when he overlaps and is picked out by a long ball - the exact types of crosses you expect from a fullback.

Or start playing the 25mil RB we signed and allow Trippier to play against the poorer attacks for rotation like we did before. Said before it was utter lunacy that Trippier could replace Walker and we wouldn't notice. When we signed Aurier I was a little less worried but we're not letting him settle in by rotating him in for so far 6 PL starts. We need to start Aurier as much as we were Walker last season.

There's this idea that Poch always rotates his full backs but Walker started 31 PL games last season and only got dropped cos he fell out with Poch. If Trippier feels he needs to move on in summer then give his spot to KWP.

None of them get any rating because they all basically turned up today and pissed their pants. Pathetic.

Someone please tell me one of Wink's strengths? Nowhere near decisive enough and full of sideways passes. Just because he's come through the academy doesn't mean he's got a divine right to start every game.

He wouldn't get near any of the other top 6's teams.

This hate for Winks is out of proportion & embarrasing.

I was as frustrated as the next person when he didn't win the penalty & his last few games havn't been his best but on the whole he's been fantastic for us since coming into the team.
He is still learning. Judge him when big Vic is back and he has a proper partner in CM.
Not his fault our midfield options are poor
and he is being over relied on.
He is Tottenham through and through & seems a great kid. Support the lad.

Sorry but here are the home truths

Lloris 5 - some excellent camera saves but 2 soft bits of keeping for sterling and the de brunye goals

Trippier 0 - not good enough for this level we need to sell I’m sorry. He’s really dreadful against top opposition

Dier 4 - his head is not in a Tottenham shirt it’s as simple as that. Brilliant until the second half where he gave up on his team mates and himself.

Vertonghen 6 - the only player to try

Rose 5 - he tried more than some but least he’s honest enough to tell us he wants out as he can see it for what it is!

Dembele 3 - I’m sorry but his best days are gone it’s time to put this dog down.

Tom Carroll..oh sorry Harry Winks 3 - out of his depth from the moment the team sheet got announced simply not good enough and hugely overrated by all our fan base in reality within 3 years he will be playing for a hull etc, unless we slip back to mediocrity as that’s the only way he belongs in this team.

Eriksen 2 - from the get go he pranced about was like a fairy in every single 50/50 since that World Cup break something weird has gone on with him.

Son 2 - he tried but there’s nothing really he can do at fault for the gundogan goal as he left him run.

#Dele20 0 - fuck off mate you haven’t made it yet! Although you and your entourage seem to think you have he’s in real danger of his whole bubble bursting. Would have done us as a team a favour if he seen red as that’s the only way poch is leaving him out.

Kane 5 - don’t let your love for this club cloud your judgement wnd hold your career back you deserve trophies.

Poch 0 - more stubborn than AVB his inept ability to make changes or rest players is a joke....how on gods green earth did he not sub Trippier off?!

Lamela - first name on the team sheet for now for me

What’s your favourite flavour windows pal?

Dembele gotta be moved on, can barely move these days, and thats his whole game, was never a great passer of the ball.
