City did to us what we did to them last season. Pace, high pressure and a collective play. They denied us any opportunity to play forward.
We can sulk all we want and claim that we would've beaten them with Wanyama, Sanchez and Toby onboard but the situation is what it is. The other players should've taken the opportunity but they didn't

Let's move forward and get ready for Burnley

Winning the title was our only progression option from last seasons 2nd place and this was never going to happen when you fail to invest. Our lumbering,32 year old back up striker is a prime example of our intent..
To be fair we did try the younger dynamic option last year and that didn't work so I suspect we went for this years option rather than do that again. Hopefully we are still looking for the right permanent option.

Christ some of you need this I think

Just face the fact City are a different level to any other team in the Prem right now. Maybe we should have done a Jose and parked the bus but we didn't. Yeah we aren't in great form and several key players are in poor form, a couple of those are kids and it happens to young players. We also have key players out. I'm disappointed but christ the world isn't coming to an end. Top 4 is still on and we have a world class stadium to move into next season. Now get down the doctors and top up that Prozac prescription ffs. We move on to the next game.

We was never going to win the title we got close for two years because clubs like Utd and city went back a bit and needed sorting out which has now happened and they regain their spots.
But I thought we would look better and be stronger this year but instead we have dropped off the pace and sadly poch has to take some of the blame for letting this happen.

Mate I agree 100% ,why can't we park the bus like the 'wee teams' and see what develops instead of going toe to toe and being mauled, we've suffered defeats like today's plenty of times over the year's and its always bourne from our insistence to go to top teams and try to out football them, will we ever learn.

For the first time since his first year I'm starting to wonder where we go from here?

We've some really good players but does Poch need to freshen it up?

I think the management team need to do some soul searching. First wait till Wanyama and Alderweireld are back and then I'm expecting us to pick up, but if it doesn't then they need to have a think about things. The way we play/train/behave is so intense, can the same players be asked to do it year after year and time and again?

I think many are no longer interested in doing well with Spurs and want to move to greener pastures.

To the brink of occupying one of the best stadiums in Britain, a process that has involved incredible patience, commitment and investment, during which we've mounted two credible title challenges and beaten Real Madrid in Europe. I'd say it'd be absolutely, utterly crazy to deny the same owners a chance at taking us to the next level in the new stadium. It would also be mean-spirited.

It wasn’t that long ago that the “Enic have taken us as far as they can go” line was trotted out when we were flirting with top 4. Before that it was shouted from the rooftops when we were just breaking into the Europa league positions.
That horseshit disappeared over the last couple of seasons when we were mounting a title challenge.
Now we’ve been beaten soundly by arguably the best team in Europe (which effectively means the World) and been beaten by more than 2 goals for only the second time in 3 years, it gets trotted out again by the same old agenda driven clowns. The same ones who have been conspicuously absent for most of the last 3 years.

You’d almost think they were trolling...

I don't know if it's that. It's a hard one. I wouldn't like to accuse any of them of that.

The new stadium is the watershed moment. I'm loathed to judge this season on anything.

We were also soundly beaten by Arsenal and Leicester. The former of which we barely turned up for. Our league form is awful and we look very far off being a top 4 side let alone a title challenger.

We are a poor side now, nothing to do with agenda.

Falling out of love with football. After many years the hope is gone. Can't really be bothered to watch a selling club lose football matches anymore. The losses hurt a lot more when you have some hope. I'll probably renew for one more year to watch us in the new stadium, but after that I don't think it's healthy for an adult man to have an emotional investment in something he can't impact and quite frankly will never be successful. Football is and has always been about money, if you don't have it you have no chance.

My thoughts exactly. I was so ambivalent to this result it's untrue. The game as we know it has gone as the amount of money you need to genuinely compete is absurd. We think this and we're the one of the better sides in the league. Imagine what its like if you're an everton fan or something.

Everything to do with agenda.

Yes we were well beaten by the goons, but Leicester? We lost 2-1 and should have scored 5.

It is only when we have a run of poor form that the same old rhetoric gets trotted out, our recent history proves that, as I’ve already posted.

Half these posters only come out after a loss, you could count on one hand how many appeared after the Stoke and Brighton results.

Pissing into the wind.

We have actually just beaten the proven best team in Europe at Wembley and drawn with them in the hostile Bernabeu.

Your normally a solid reliable poster but today you are talking absolute bollocks so much so that normally I love the confrontation thing but even I won't enter into discussing this shit from you who normally provides better.

I agree, but it still needs to be said.

We lost and we lost badly. I read BC’s ratings post and really couldn’t agree more, this one was on Poch for not taking the pragmatic approach that worked for us against the likes of Real, Dortmund and Liverpool, though City showed against Utd that even that approach is far from guaranteed.

Strange how no other top 6 team, other than the goons, has “fans” calling for a change in ownership after every poor performance. Again it’s noticeable that it only occurs on here after a heavy defeat.

But there’s no agenda apparently...

Absolute Bollox?

So we didn’t have anyone calling for Enic’s removal pre Poch? They haven’t been quiet over the last 2-3 seasons? We haven’t gone that step further when the trolls were saying we couldn’t under Enic?

Articulate man, back it up.
