There are quite a few people on here who are going to have to swallow a big slice of humble pie and admit that Guardiola is actually a very good manager.

Agree...he has done a fantastic job...up to the rest of them to work out how to best him now.

What happens if we have to play a CL play off in August and stadium isn’t ready till September?
All 4 English teams go straight into the group stage now.
Yep. Only problem would be if we finish 6th and a team outside the top 6 wins the FA Cup, or we finish 7th with the big teams winning both cups. That would see us in the Europa League Second Qualifying Round on the 26th of July. If our stadium wasn't ready we'd be able to play the qualifiers elsewhere, presumably at Wembley with a 50k capacity.

The blooming World Cup final is on the 15th !

A team outside the top 6 won’t win the FA Cup. And we won’t finish lower than 6th.
Can't see us finishing below 6th, but you can't rule out a cupset especially with the top 6 likely to often field weakened teams.

Good manager yes when you have access to unlimited funds. Good manager's are Wenger Klopp and what Poch has done in the last 3 seasons...

Mourinho and Guardiola need unlimited funds to win trophies... So they never impress me.

Don’t know much about keita tbh. But thought he was more attack minded. I see him as coutinho replacement.
I haven't seen much either but I thought he was more Kante than Coutinho. He does score a few goals though.

kante is like the small essien but keita is pretty much kante + ability to break forward and attack. if keita replicates the same form he will be better than kante

Maybe, but it's all ifs and buts. And he can't positively affect their current season.

Top 6 will play strongest teams in FA cup imo. There’s massive pressure on everyone except pep to win something to save their season. And pep will want the double. Basically whoever doesn’t win FA Cup season will be deemed just ok or a failure if no top 4

That's the easy excuse that gets thrown at Guardiola, but when he came through at Barcelona and win 14 trophies in four seasons and every club in the world wanted him why should he go to Stoke or West Brom just to prove a point to those who don't want to recognise his achievements? That success at Barcelona has never been replicated and they've never been as good as they were during that period.

Yes, he's spent a lot at Man City, but so did all the managers that came before him and none of them dominated the Premier League in the way they are now. Man Utd have spent around £300m in the last two summer transfer windows (not even including Ibrahimovic's signing on fee) yet they're 15 points behind City.

Klopp? He doesn't come close. Including Van Dijk and Keita he's spent more than Guardiola has yet they're still not even assured of a Champions League place and he still hasn't even addressed his team's most obvious failing - something which Guardiola did straight away in the last transfer window by signing three full backs.

People keep saying 'could Guardiola do what Sean Dyche has done?' - probably not, but could Sean Dyche do what Guardiola is doing now? Not a chance.

Lets agree to disagree... I really cant respect his work when he can only achieve what he does with exorbitant sums of money....

He won some trophies in Germany but couldn't win the CL because he did mot have vast sums of cash.

These arguments don't need to be so black and white, he can be an excellent manager who has benefited from having the best players in the respective leagues to work with.

I am sorry to say that Liverpool are giving me a twitchy arse. Saw it was 1-1 after 74 mins. Next time I checked in, the ****s had pulled it out of the bag.

United should of had a penalty but cant necessarily hide behind the fact they were shite and didn't deserve to win. The City defeat has really fucked them up.

United and Arse are the vulnerable ones. For me Chels and Scouse look too strong to not finish in top 4.
