Thanks for posting here. The Wimbledon game could be such a big one in terms of keeping the youngsters happy. I'd like to see a minimum of KWP and Foyth starting with three to four youngsters (including Edwards) on the bench. Something like this would be great:

Gazzaniga
Walker-Peters Foyth Sanchez Davies
Wanyama Winks
Sissoko Lamela Nkoudou
Llorente

Vorm, Kane, Eriksen, Dier, Edwards, Sterling, Skipp

That way you have adequate cover on the bench for the 'uh oh' scenario whilst also being able to bring on three youngsters if, as expected, we're well clear with half an hour to go.
Personally I think minimum should be KWP and Edwards starting, Ideally we should play onomah if we were to recall as we shouldn't be playing winks or dembele with their fitness problems at the moment.

However I dont see the point of playing Nkoudou over edwards, he clearly has no future here

Interestingly about the article it mentions 3/4 players from the 00 age group that didn't even make either the Euro or the World Cup squads once again emphasising the depth. Imagine how much stronger this squad will be if they continue to develop come the u21 Euros when the late developers also come through.

Also as much as I rate Richards and have many times before I highly doubt he will be much of a success this year as he is out for the rest of the season or maybe even the year.

I dont think Onomah has a future here, I hope I'm wrong

I'm in that boat too. I definitely think he is more than good enough and could be a quality PL player for us but I just don't see at the moment. His development completely stifled under Poch when he had confidence. Played out of position no senior games. Finally got to play in his favourite position during the World Cup, won it, showed confidence then sent on loan to a hoof ball team, where he has put in mixed performances, generally his best ones came centrally. Don't see why, Poch would recall him and suddenly start using him properly.

Like you I hope I'm wrong, still the best CM I've seen for us in academy football

If Alli came through our academy do you believe he'd have progressed anywhere near as fast?

No way

Yes,what he would have over others is a physical presence and at that age it can stand out and this will help the like of Griffiths and P.Maghoma.

Prime example of what I am trying to say is Tammy Abraham of Chelsea,he is a very good player and over the last few years at youth football he has Dominated Spurs youth firstly because he is a good player but secondly his size and at that level of football makes him very hard to cope with.

Abraham has had a good season but one thing he must have found very hard this year is he is no longer able to boss the opposition like he did at youth football.

I understand what you are saying here, that physically he is more developed but I think what ljinko means is would he have come through the first team rather than handle or look good in age group football?

Alli, like Abraham, would not be playing first team football for us if they came through here. Alli at u16/17 wasn't a remarkable player, he benefited through being a very good player in a lower league club. Handling League One football like most quality players his age but standing out due to his exceptional ability to score goals and as edson said his physique. Roles is similar to Alli in our academy but not as physical and I don't expect he'd ever play for us.

Alli would be where Onomah is at the moment. He would have been too risky to get a chance in the first team.

Oduwa was another who could physically cope and he didn't get a chance, Griffiths won't either and Maghoma is too much of a risk taker at this point to get a chance regardless of physique.

With Wanyama back we will probably go to a back 3 with Dier. If he seriously waned to use KWP and wanted to ease him into the PL again then today's game would have been best no?

Either way if he does get games I'll be pleased just frustrated it ill be at LB always feel he is hamstrung there from really showing what he can do, though he'll perform admirably

Would love to see Sterling on our bench, while I don't think he's amazing but he suits our style more than Llorente imo and is also a bit more similar to Kane in that he will play on the defenders shoulder and try and get in behind.

Inspired to air some basic thoughts on four of our youngsters that our closest to the first team, after watching Trippier struggle with Swansea's "pace".

i'll be devastated if KWP get the proper chance he deserves at spurs. It's so important to have fullbacks of his quality and they are not that easy to come by, he is taliored made for Poch. It'll be unequivocally an error in judgement if trippier doesnt get moved on in his favour by the end of the summer.

CCV I think will have to leave the club permantly or on a two year loan Christensen style, so he can properly develop. It's too bad, because I really rate Cam, but he doesnt currently have the right mentality. He seems to be having a tough time getting over his rough patch. I dont want to be too definative on him because he's still very young, but I'd love to send him over to Germany for two years and let him iron out his game and potentially bring him back.

Onomah seems to have been messed around too much by the club. I understand the thinking that he isnt good enough defensively to play cm, but to send him to a club that doesnt play him in his longterm position and that plays horrible hoofball is a massive gaff. Really disappointed that seemingly their wont be a future for him at the club. If/when he learns to track his runner, he's destined to be a star, in the shape of a Pogba. This one's on Poch and McDermott.

Edwards hope he starts getting more options off the bench and in cup matches. Glad he is getting stronger physically, think poch is handling him relatively well for the moment.

Shash should be close to making the bench in cup matches, very bizarre to send him across to a much inferior league. I really don't get that at all

Not sure making the bench for a few cup games is the same as playing consistently though. MLS still has a way to go but it has improved significantly imo

Will players like Edwards, Sterling If they are in the starting 11 for this match not play against Wimbledon?
