I feel like I’ve watched that game multiple times this season. We’ll never learn. So bored of watching us bang our heads against a brick wall time and time again.

Well, straight away, but for his intervention when he was last man in the first half stopped their player going clean through on his own. But this has got fuck-all to do with Sissoko, Poch, the team he picked or anything else. Everyone is an expert on which team they'd have sent out but it could easily have gone exactly the same way had we started with 'our' preferred team. We should have won that game with the side that started. And but for a once in a career worldie, we would have. This is one of those shit sandwiches football fans have to suffer from time to time.........It's as simple as that.

But I get the frustration. Its just misplaced. All IMO of course :D
Had they not scored I don't see how we would have. It's only as a result of them doing so that we started playing. Imo.

A little unfair of you say that imo. I think it boils down to how passionate our fans are or not in some cases about winning our games, especially against the likes of those bubble blowing gippos. This "Oh well nevermind" attitude of some on here is just as embarrasing I think. Anyway that's just my opinion.

I don’t know. The implication seems to be that those posting angry, finger-pointing responses at ANY period of ANY game in which we are not in top gear and complete control of the game are somehow more passionate (and therefore better?) than those of us who bring an ounce of perspective. I do find that a little embarrassing to be honest.

I can understand shouting nonsense in the heat of the moment on the terraces - I once called Juan Mata a Portuguese prick at White Hart Lane which was wrong because a) he’s Spanish and b) it turns out he’s actually quite a nice guy. I would never have posted that from the comfort of my own home because I’d calm down before hitting send and check my facts.

Every bad result at Wembley I walk away feeling angry and frustrated, then I look at the SC Match thread on my phone andante calmed by the reasoned and thoughtful outcome look of our noble denizens....

Ah now no one said anything about being better. But at least from my perspective I have an expectation of my team winning these games and my comments reflect that. It's programmed into me as a tottenham fan I guess.

Swansea at home
Burnley at home
West Brom at home
West Ham at home

And to be honest Bournemouth and Palace at home were pretty much the same.

Slow, lathargic with a lack of guile and invention.

And a common theme in all of those goes is a lack of urgency / tempo when we have the ball; we need to be more incisive and move the ball quicker not play so many square passes that allow the opposition to get men back and get set. Screw the possession stats our best performances this season have been with the lowest possession stats (RM and Liverpool).

It's easy to say we should play a higher tempo but not so easy when you're playing 48 hours after the last game. We looked tired and no surprise either. This schedule was a joke but we still came out of it with only 2 dropped points.

As for West Ham, what a joke of a club. The fans chanting 'we've only had 1 shot' like it's a positive thing just says it all really. Imagine if Spurs went into a game fighting for their lives just not to lose. No ambition whatsoever. I'm so glad I don't support one of these anti football clubs. It annoys me when people say this is the best league in the world yet so many teams park the bus. At least have a go and make a football match worth watching.

Ah well, our next home game in the league is against big Sam so I guess we go through it all again.

Here is the thing, I don’t think it’s corruption as in brown paper bag under the table type stuff (although I am convinced that has happened before in this league.)

However, I think it’s more cowardice, personal bias and incompetence and the fact they are protected and never held accountable for their mistakes.

People say “It evens itself out” that’s a nonsense argument, we have seen multiple examples over the last few seasons of refs afraid to make big decisions against the bigger sides and multiple instances of their incompetence on a weekly basis.

Now, you look at our game against Swansea, our first goal was offside, how can a professional linesman miss that?

Then today, two pens that we should have had, there are too many mistakes in this league for this to all be incompetence, I am of the genuine belief that a lot of the time they are guessing and those guesses are being made based on personal bias or cowardice through fear of them getting backlash, in Deans case, fear of being labelled a spurs fan, so he carries a mentality into the game that he can’t give us too much instead of just doing his job.

The media play into this nonsense and pile pressure on the officials with their own bullshit agendas and that’s a perfect storm for the issues we have.

Look at the Leicester season, everyone in the country was rooting for them, the media had basically decided they were going to win it and it’s my opinion that the refs were letting them get away with climbing all over players and
giving them favourable decisions, the following season after Leicester had won it they clamped down on it.

I just feel like we need video replays to come in as soon as possible and more transparency from officials.
Totally agree, fresh in the mind of the officials today were DS’s ‘not given’ red card and our ‘offside goal’ because that’s all the media have been banging on about.
If you are an official hearing that a team has had one or two decisions go in their favour in the previous game it’ll be in the back of your mind when a match changing decision needs to be made purely on the media scrutiny from the previous game...

We should demand that Deam doesn’t officiate our games going forward- too much baggage!

It is a bit odd and doesn’t sit with this so call d reputation for “playing the West Ham way”, which has always reminded me a bit of the Loch Ness Monster, everyone has heard about it but nobody’s ever seen it!

Our central midfield is a massive problem. Has been all season. We need to invest heavily in the summer to get someone alongside Wanyama. Shame we didn't go for keita. He'd of been perfect.

Yep. I said so yesterday. Dean shouldn't ref our games any more. He does seem to do a lot of them.

Poch waiting until 70 mins every time to make subs is infuriating! Shouldn’t even start those games with so many defensive players let along get mor that 3/4 through the game.

Dean still trying to prove a point and for Wenger job done, but all that aside we should have won that comfortably

Exactly, it has to be, they are only human and the media know they have influence, people always say they don’t but I think it’s naive to believe that.

Even if a ref does approach a game trying to be professional they are still just as capable of being influenced as any one of is, this is why we need to take the bulk of that responsibility away and allow video evidence to decide.

People also believe players are these shut ins and they never read anything in the media or never become influenced by it, hell just the other day Eriksen was caught on video in the team bus reading about lindgart cheating on his Mrs.

This isn’t 20 years ago like some fans seem to believe, the game has changed now, mostly for the worst.

You haven't answered my question.
Those who win trophies and are not in it for the money are all in negative spends. I e City, Chelsea and Utd we are never in a negative spend overall. So we will never win much due to that. Fact is if you viewed the publication of richest clubs in Europe which takes in players, value of assets , tv money and all that. We are the fifth richest club in Europe I believe above Real Madrid, the only 2 premier league clubs above us are Chelsea and City. Our owner is absolutely minted can blow the Liverpool owners out the water. So why are we not up there challenging investing in the team to make it stronger because of the stats above Spurs do not have overall a negative spend so we will be very lucky to win anything because Joe Lewis who is fucking loaded, and Short bald twat do not want Spurs to win anything he is like a politician tells us what he wants us to believe in other words talks bollocks.

After that Arsenal game he shouldn’t have touched another one of our games this season, he was trying so hard to prove he wasn’t favourable towards us that he ended up being favourable to the other team and gifted them a goal which changed the entire game.
