Was his fault today but he's really got to have some strong words with Levy about his squad now. First 11 when fit is great but he's got to honest and say this squad isn't getting Top 4 this year.
He needs to lay it out that beyond the first 11 all he's got to work with is:

Lamela - good player but been out for a year and might take a while to be up to speed

Llorente - worth a punt but hasn't worked out and never will

GKN - worth a punt but hasn't developed at all and he's given up on him

Sissoko - horrible waste of money and of no use at all

Dembele - half crocked and unreliable now

Foyth - a kid who won't be first team ready for years

And that's it. That's his squad players for a team who before season were apparently pushing to win the league. Embarrassing really.

It's a squad that did challenge for the title last season. We lost Walker and Janssen. We gained Aurier, Sanchez, Llorente. It isn't because of the squad we'll miss top 4, if we do.

No it was the first team that challenged for the title, which we still have. Issue this year is Dembele isn't fit and nor was Wanyama, that's two players lost from team plus the best RB in the league. Son was many times on bench (only started 23 PL games) and now first team so we've lost him as impact player. Last year we didn't make knock out stages of CL either.
We got away with having nothing beyond first team + Son in mid and attack last season, this season we're not as lucky.

Onomah, I know it's not that straightforward, as the player and manager share responsibilty for development. But the fact Josh has never gotten a real opprotunity to prove himself in his best position over two full years around the senior squad is an oversight that is coming back to haunt us because of the foreseeable decline of Dembele.

There were at least 5 to 10 times probably more were we had a chance today when the ball was crossed in or shots were blocked where someone standing in the right place would have got a tap in, now you could say we were 'unlucky' or you could say Poch messed up with two defensive midfielders, reason being on these 'unlucky' occassions we often had one or two attackers in the box v 6 or 7 spam defenders, an extra attacking midfielder in there from the off and our 'luck' may have changed and we would have won this game easily imo, Spam had zero ambition and were there for the killing, in fact Moyes done us a big favor to help us along with Whinny past it Shitirico playing, this is a game Poch cost us points... At the very least he should have started subbing at 60 to attack more, not waited until we went behind, puzzled and perplexed by him tonight (and I like Poch btw)

I don't understand why we don't double up more on the flanks and do more one-twos, combinations etc like the other top teams do. I don't understand why Alli is allowed so often to jog with the ball on the breaks instead of passing it quickly to a player ahead of him in space. It slows us down so much. I don't understand why we keep playing two DMs at home against bus parkers.

My final point if you cannot grab what I am saying. If he had the luxury of all the previously named being fully fit, Sissoko would not of played.
Davies is not 100% fit, and another of our key players has been playing with injections. Lay off a Poch please as you don’t know the facts.
Thn why kwp didnt play ahead of davies?

Ok fair enough but you said in your ITK RO post that Sissoko is going nowhere as everyone impressed by him this season. Impressed by what exactly ? The bloke just isn’t a footballer.

In terms of team selections and subs he seems to lack the bravery he’s always talking about the players showing

So a player that is going nowhere would not have played given a fit squad, so don't blame Pochettino.
Also, if Pochettino is innocent due to injuries, what causes all the injuries.

As we've had a good away record this season it might be down to the pile of shit called Wembley, but..

It feels like his tactics have become a bit predictable compared to last season and the one before that. This pressing is not as intense but I'm guessing that has to do with the injuries (or vice versa?).

Of course it's because of the squad. Last season we didn't take the CL seriously, kept the first XI fresh and fit and did well in the league. This season we've only really looked like the Spurs of last season since the end of the group stage, which we took very seriously this season.

We don't have a good squad. We can't rest players like Eriksen and Alli, because we have players like Sissoko and GKN waiting to come in. We've had games where we've looked jaded and spent in November.

Champions League run makes up for the average domestic return this season. The squad aren’t consistent enough. All season, the only ones who can hold their heads up high are Kane, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Davies and Son. Sure, all of them have had a few iffy moments at times, but few and far between. Their effort never drops and they stand up to be counted.
We need Hugo, Eriksen and Dele to step up to their level ( and for Wanyama & Toby, who will never let the side down, to get fit )

Take away Europe and it’s been a pretty average season, as crazy as that sounds. One win out of three against West Ham, throwing away the Carabao and defeats against Chelsea and Arsenal? Not overly impressed with those results to be honest. Quite the opposite
We're only 3 points behind Liverpool, could be second by the end of the season.
Yeah I'm disappointed by the defeats but it's hardly a average domestic return. There is still a lot to play for.

It's not necessarily about blinkers. It's clear this Spurs team have a major problem against 10 behind the ball. No matter how inferior the opposition, we can't do it. And there seems to have been zero done differently, and zero improvement despite the same issue occurring numerous times, and costing us a huge amount of points.

It's not unreasonable to question what steps are being made to change something that happens over and over agains in exactly the same way.

But it doesnt always happen does it?

Have we not beaten teams of bus parkers this season?

So many teams have that problem, not just us. City drew with palace, only got 1 vs Newcastle. In fact all teams around us and above us have had similar problems, drawing against teams they "should" beat.

Its very funny when anyone questions Poch Selection or Tactics you get riddiculed like everything he does is perfect. You get execuse about players not being fit ,we can only assume when you are on the bench you are fit to play if your not whats the point being on the bench.

1) selecting Dier and Sissoko to break down 10 men behind a ball ???????
2) Making subs as a reaction after 70 minutes ?????????
3) Bringing on wanyama ?????????
4) Not bringing on llorente earlier who had scored in the previous game?????

But in Poch we trust will see how the season unfolds.

Poch is brilliant and has completely changed the club for the better. I do wish he would try fewer defensive players against these shit clubs at home though, it’s happening again and again that we struggle because of it.

He's not exactly setting the world a light out on loan is he? And he's hardly "World class"
