35m in the summer! For a crocked player in his final year. That's an insane demand. Glad we passed at that moment. 15m isn't a bad deal I don't think, although I guess it'll only end up being a bidding war and Everton will end up demanding 25m which would be unsuitable for us. Just gotta hope we are targeting a player of similar or better calibre.

I really liked him as a player and thought he'd give us something different from midfield.

And if rumours are true and he bailed out on Chelsea last summer on a promise from us, our behaviour's despicable.

If he ends up at Chelsea it will be heartbreaking.

I personally think in the long term we'll be regretting it.
