Bringing in Ryan and Steven Sessegnon would be an excellent start to the summer's business.

We have a BRILLIANT relationship with Ajax. Hope we do more business, as expected.

I would go as far as saying, any other EPL came in, they have no chance, including citeh (opinion).

For those chiming about ‘pinch of salt ITK’ . Carry on with that, and you will loose the few remaining. I can give hundreds of examples when we have agreed a deal (in the bag), for things to come up that we were not aware of (Balde/RB) plus others. For it to change in the last minute. Details come out just before things turn, and we share it honestly. Does that make it contradictory?

I know for example that RS and twin is 99.999%. Can things change out of the blue? Yes. Hope it does not though.

As for me, I don’t care what people think, but other ITK’s (some), you are pissing them off by comparing. We do cross-reference. And I honestly have to salute Rob & A&C for their excellent work. Trust me, they are no mugs. Hence why I contribute to this site financially, when I can, and will continue to do so.

By far my biggest gripe in respect of transfer news is the misconception that information is fake unless the deal is completed. Must be frustrating when you see that as an ITK.

Thanks for the info Hercules. It sounds like we're going to have an awful lot of very good young players if we get sign RS and his twin, and possibly Kluivert.

Did anyone seriously expect any different this window, we haven't signed anyone of note in January for years and we wont this month either....!

Levy was never going to back his manager on a player he could sign for free in 6 months, he clearly gambled and it backfired, I don't believe the Poch didn't want him, sorry not ITK bashing but Poch wanted him IMO.

Re this super signing in the summer, sorry bored of this now.... wasn't the same gonna happen in August transfer window? I assume we will be announcing the new season tickets/stadium costs soon for GA.

I truly do believe Levy has taken us as far as he can financially and he has done wonders but days of signing big players and pushing on when we desperately need reinforcement (now) will not happen under his stewardship.

I know a lot will disagree but this is my opinion and would be delighted to be wrong

Why do you come in here if you don't read any of the itk?

You can't say something is just "my opinion" if you are wilfully ignoring all the evidence that goes against your view, it's not your opinion you are just wrong. How can Levy not back the manager when the according to every source avalible it was poch that said no?

What your actually doing is using this to pedal your agenda when this has nothing to do with Levy and spending money

hertyid on ross:
Just got a text about this. His wage demands would have put him ahead of Kane. Levy was prepared to pay it as wages structure will be shifting higher from the summer, but Poch didn't want to set a precedent or upset the squad dynamic. Also big concerns over injury and how much he would play this season.

First time ever Levy has opened his wallet and been shunned?

That sounds very promising.
I think we can expect news of several contract extensions after closure of this TW. I’m hopeful that those c/e’s would include Toby’s.

In one of my earlier posts before this window, I stated we would be upping contracts to be on par with top 4 clubs in the summer.

Hope Hercules post isn't refering to Trix, fear it is but hope that doesn't mean Trix stops feeding us.
I hope I'm not wrong in saying this, if so I'll delete but I get the sense that Herc is a natural optimist and Trix is more circumspect which, if we care to make the effort, gives us a really healthy overview, we just need to man up and stop getting the hump when things don't go our way.
Please keep it coming guys.

Re: Steve Sessegnon - is it the case that RS won't sign unless we take his brother into the academy?

Or is his brother actually any good?

Edit: Open question - not direct to Herc

Great to hear we have a brilliant relationship with Ajax, which appears to be defined by us plundering their best players. Obviously a two way Street in that they have to agree to sell, but makes me pmsl when people on here bitch about City or Utd trying the same on with our players devoid of any sense of irony or hypocrisy.

Ps. Not a pop at you Hercules, or any ITK for that matter. All good really. All this modern football nonsense just heightens my sense of existential dread. Guess this is also what you were alluding to re: other reason for Barkley not coming. He was just struck by the realisation that there's no point signing for Spurs when we're all going to die anyway. Hence, choosing Chelsea instead.

Just to clarify, Hercules, the "pinch of salt" phrase isn't one that questions yours or any other ITK's integrity. Quite the opposite, it's a phrase used to encapsulate exactly what you've just said: that ITKs post in good faith but that situations can change rapidly, and as such, it's dangerous and unfair to accept any ITK information as gospel. I'm sincerely sorry if you felt I was questioning your honesty in some way; I promise you, I absolutely was NOT. Yours is in fact the ITK I look forward to the most because you always seem to post with the passion and enthusiasm of a true fan. Like everyone else on this forum, I'm hugely grateful that you take time to volunteer the information you receive when clearly it's not something you have to do. Take good care mate.

This is so key, pushing the wages to similar levels to the other top clubs is the only way we can consolidate ourselves near top of the table, and will give us the best shot of winning trophies.

That and continuing to finding quality additions like Dele and Sanchez, and I'd definitely put Sessegnon in that bracket.

As always, appreciate the info and the last thing we want is to make you and other ITKs feel like they aren't appreciated or respected, I think the majority of us do. Whilst I don't think we should hang onto every word you guys say (as that's when ppl can start to throw tantrum reactions), I do think we need to always remember that things can change at the drop of a hat and that you always share in good faith......and no, it's not contradictory, at all!

Thrilled to hear we have a superb relationship with Ajax (especially since I have loved their philosophy and setup since I was a kid), long may it continue!

Let's hope there are no twists to the Sess twins transfer and we can get them over the line soon enough.

Seems from what's been previously said is that if we want RS, we need to sign his brother as well.

Am about as far from that as possible...

In one of my earlier posts before this window, I stated we would be upping contracts to be on par with top 4 clubs in the summer.

Whilst this is promising news, are our finances so intrinsically linked to being in the stadium that we have to wait until the summer before improving players contracts? The additional finance generated by the stadium isn’t going to be obvious overnight is it?

It being a World Cup summer and most of our squad being on show, id have thought it prudent to have our key players signed up before they left for Russia.
