Wonder how much a week he's on as well

Doubt he'd leave to a 'lesser' club and also take a wage cut

Supposedly on quite a bit/one of our top earners if the numbers quoted are to be believed. I've no idea if they are right though obviously.

I’ve still got the hump about him playing in midfield last night. Not his fault obviously but he needs to be gone so Poch can get past the obvious blind spot he’s got where Sissoko is concerned.

I'd love it to be true but I can't see us selling him in January unless we get a replacement in. He's just featured in too many games.

I want him sold too but I'm sorry, I doubt it will happen.

I agree. I cannot fathom why a) he started him in central but more importantly b) when he saw that west ham had come to camp in their half with a 7 man defence why he didn't change formation as we didn't need 2 deep CM and sub sissoko (who was not involved at all except for passing the ball backwards and into touch) and just have a single DM with a 5 man forward block

The only reason I can see with Poch persisting is that he was a player that Poch wanted - i.e. Daniel didn't go off piste and buy him on a whim. When has DL ever thrown 30Mil just like that? One can only assume that the team scouted Sissoko purely on his 2 games on us the season before and then how he played for France at the Euro to explain why we went for him. Pcoh himself said early/middle of last season that the Sissoko we had in the squad was not the product he thought we were buying.... i.e. they did not do their due diligence. This one is on him and his team and so he has to do everything he can to make it work?

He's such a clumsy nervy oaf with the ball, but by all accounts a nice guy.

I really hope someone comes in for him, can't see it at £30m even in this market. 2 goals and 2 assists in all comps.

According to his 5 year deal and how much of it has been run down, his amortisation would suggest £21m would be an acceptable figure for the books. Can't see Levy taking less than that, but you never know. Has Levy ever sold a player at a significant loss before?

I think he's been a lot better of late and got a whole load of flack from the WHU game that he didn't really deserve. I'm still completely baffled why we bought him and would much rather see his squad place and wages go on a more 'Spurs' player. He's obviously worked very hard though to get into the team so hopefully this might attract a buyer.

I can’t fault his effort and that may attract one or two clubs at a push, and he does offer something, not exactly what we need but it’s a bit more than optimistic to suggest that we can get £30m for him.

We’ve given him a fair crack of the whip, as said previously, he’s put in a shift for us and no one can fault him on that front, and in comparison to other signings we have made his attitude isn’t poor and to the best of my knowledge he hasn’t bad mouthed our club, but it’s surely obvious to anyone that he is just not good enough, even if he’s not completely useless, we have let far better players than him leave. We all know we paid over the odds for him, and ability wise he is no better or worse than Obiang or Kouyate, but the difference is that West Ham didn’t pay anywhere near what we paid for Sissoko. He would have fitted and done a decent enough job for what Moyes achieved against us at Wembley or what Allardyce is trying to achieve at Everton. Would they be prepared to pay £30m ? I doubt it.

I can’t believe this article if I’m honest and I suspect we would privately listen to more realistic offers than what are being touted in the article.

Soldado?

Also, correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t we release Adebayor before his contract was up?

Can’t see it personally as ITK seems to indicate Poch is a fan.

Think we’re stuck with him for a while. Although I’d love for that not to be true.

Like him or not as a player he is clearly a part of Pochettino’s plans and has been used all season. I don’t think we should expect that will change or that he will be sold

Personally I blame him for their goal. Shameful closing down (or lack of mores the point) and when he finally realised it might be a good idea to try and put pressure on the ball it was some limp dick kind of effort of half sticking out his leg.

He’s done it before with closing down and it’s cost us (can’t remember what game though) why it pisses me off when people say he always puts in a good shift coz some of his effort is half arsed. We all know technically he’s shit but he’s a big old unit so it’s not to much to ask for him to put it about but he doesn’t, really.

Bakambu From Villarreal is about to go to China for £40m
He's not going to go to China imo, as he'd be pretty much kissing goodbye to a place in the French World Cup squad.

We shouldn't forget that Pochettino was the person who was calling for his signature too so it's clear that he likes him.
