Sissoko MOM for being involved in every goal scoring opportunity we had before he was subbed.

Verts a very close second with Kane and Lamela rounding off.

KWP looked lively but was on wrong side perhaps. Vorm made a great save. Victor was Victor.

COYS!

NB: Club Wembley 9/10 for comfort. 5/10 atmosphere. Much like Wembley itself

That would make club wembley more comfortable than the director boxes!!

Verts, Wanyama, and Dembele were my picks. The rest were OK with the exception of Llorente who was poor.
The game changed when he went off and Son took us up a level. Same when Alli came on.

Lamela's work rate remained impressive. Covered every blade of grass.

I thought Foyth was impressive, apart from one moment where a Wimbledon player easily got round him.

Llorente was disappointing. Considering his size he seemed to be overpowered easily.

KWP was lively. GKN should have started, didn't really have much chance to get in the game.

Havnt seen the game but it's interesting reading the comments on Llorente.

I was well impressed that we managed to get him but I've been thoroughly underwhelmed so far.

I'm always in the camp of reserving judgement but he's had experience of playing in this league with Swansea and plenty of years under his belt.

I know we don't always play to his strengths, but generally I find his hold up play really poor for such a big guy with the ability he has.

Yes it can be hard to get a flow going with your game, coming in and out of the side, but he doesn't seem to want to put the work and hard yards in which is required to become more effective.

Need a lot more from him imo.

He is correct but he's probably biased towards criteria he values the most. The BBC website is biased towards goals so they'll give it to Kane despite being distinctly average for 70 minutes.
For me, Lamela was the pick technically (alongside Dembele) but didn't impose himself enough by turning that ability into game changing moments.
My ratings tend to be biased towards players who absolutely 'boss' their positions so my stand outs were Verts, Wanyama, and Dembele.

He was the only player who played poorly, his touch was awful. I expected a lot more from him too with balls played into him and sticking and the our midfield feeding off him.
But every time it went into his feet it bounced off or his balls around the corner flew up in the air to defenders.
More disappointed with Llorente than I was with Soldado, as with Bobby, you always felt something might happen but with Fernando you don't even get the hope.

I read part of that as 'it bounced off his balls round the corner'

That's the best compliment I think he's had since he's been here.

Only heard the last twenty minutes on the radio, commentator said at the end of the game that Eric Lamella was the best player on the pitch so i'll go by that.

I’d agree with that. Looked the best player on the pitch. Glided around. Good to have him back

Vorm reminded me of Robinson today. Stuck on his line on 3 or 4 occasions when he could have come out and dealt with things quite comfortably

Disappointed with Trippier today. Had Llorente in the middle today but cannot remember 1 decent cross for him

Llorente certainly wasn’t great today but we didn’t play to his strengths. If your going to play him then get more balls into the box!

Saw MOTD and it looked like it was going to be another wet spam! Who knows if that ball goes in after hitting Vorm in the back of the head maybe it would ( bad keeping by the way it went through his hands). Lamela definitely looked lively and Wanyama also. But so frustrating that we just can’t get our best 11 fit. As soon as one is back another goes. We have those two back but without Rose and Toby. If we loose Harry I Really fear for any chance of top four. I like the way a few people said he didn’t do much, but once again he gets 2 goals! Always where he needs to be, true striker!

Worth repeating (I think)

Bill Nick. on Greave's workrate.

''All he's done today is score four goals''

Maybe apocryphal as I can't find the original quote.
