It's tribalism in the modern world. The funny thing is, if you go to a rugby match (which I do quite often), the rivalry is every bit as fierce, there is alcohol on sale, the fans aren't segregated and yet there is never any trouble.
That's because all the violence is played out in front of them on a grass pitch between 30 blokes

Yeah remember that sketch well .

I know this probably isn’t the thread for it ( as it’s about the opposition), but this sketch has reminded me of Boxing Day at Wembley.

I had the archetypal “football tourists” next to me. Couple turned up half hour into the game, clearly straight from the Boxing Day sales with huge Primark bags ( at least if it had been Armani etc I could have retained an ounce of respect, but fucking Primark  - get out :D).

They then proceeded to spend the rest of the game on their phones and social media taking selfies. At HT they seemed bemused that people wanted to get by them to go somewhere causing them to move their massive collection of chav shopping bags.

Second half was more selfies, more phone etc, although they occasionally broke their social occasion to randomly shout “Kane!” before going back to their sad social media lives .

As you can tell it annoyed me a bit :D.

How the hell did they manage to get any sort of phone reception in Wembley?

From a gooner on the BBC:

I am surprised that more people don't see that Wenger is a man of high principles and great intellect.

He is driven to make his mark by leaving things better than they were before. It makes him look bad at times like this, but he will stick to his principles to try to change the system when he sees inadequacies.

This character trait has flaws for Arsenal as he is above winning at all costs.

Really not sure whether to  or . :bored:

Im not sure its a gooner posting that...

@Phomesy I'm assuming the disagree was a mistake or fat fingers :)

I don't care about ratings in the slightest, but if it wasn't a mistake I'd love to know why you disagree.

Does that twat represent the average intelligence of a Gooner.. He talks in riddles, What a complete wanker
He chats absolute shit. The irony of him slating the experienced players for not leading by example when he’s taken a ten year old along with him and uses language like that in front of the kid. Guy is an utter moron and I hope he chokes on that street slang bull shit. Yunnerstan!

Are they talking about us?
It's ironic that some of our more philosophical fans used to cite them as an example of a well run, financially prudent club who had cracked the elite with organic growth based on sensible investment.

Their more philosophical fans now say similar stuff about us + academy etc.

At the moment I'm too busy laughing to be so magnanimous:)
