Good morning everyone!

Here's a shiny new thread for the discussion of today's ITK.

What's that you say? There's been none? Then until there is, business will be slow won't it?

Yesterday Mrs A&C was reading some of her quiz questions out of Cosmopolitan Magazine, and she turned to me and asked, "Have you ever had sex with a fat woman?"

She said it with a straight face too.

Last night I went out for a drink in Newcastle and ended the night with a 6 inch gash across my face.

Those Geordie girls are proper slappers.

That's always what i used to think would happen but it never seemed to happen. Perhaps it takes a few days for information to be released.

We've been told a few times it will be quiet this window, may be as simple as that.

Thats what usually in happens in January and yes we have been told that. Some sort of agreement about RS would be all i hope for.

Gomes and Suarez doing media rounds now. We were interested in a loan in the summer, with a view to transfer if successful. Barca wanted us to become obligated at circa 40m at the end of loan, and we were not keen on that. We inquired about Suarez very early on, but ‘no can do’ at the time.

I don’t believe there will be any movement this window, unless one of our targets becomes available for now.

Way things are, not going to be giving out names, more than I have already. But expect a big surprise signing in the summer if all goes to plan from abroad. No hints, so don’t ask for any please

Bale & Modric can be buried now, as wont happen! RM were doing their usual to get us to bait with HK. They are blatantly subtle (not) in the spin doctors they use to get information out.

I'm astounded how Real are playing trying to get Kane. We have the first refusal on Bale (if we wanted him) so they can't think we're stupid enough to allow him to form part of a makeweight deal for Kane but they're going to need to sell to generate the revenue to even think about bidding for him.

It feels like Denis Suarez would be a very good option. That kid is hugely talented, not unlike Andre Gomes. Both are going to waste at Barca and for Suarez, that's now even more the case with Coutinho's arrival.

Gomes is behind Iniesta, Rakitic and Paulinho. I know, I know, Paulinho but actually he's been awesome for Barca. He's not a bad player, he just didn't suit the english game. You don't play for Brazil if you're as crap as Spurs fans would have you believe.

Either player must be available, I guess the issue would potentially be the fact that Barca may still try to obligate us to buy when we would clearly not want that.

A loan for either would be smart IMO but I'd lean towards Suarez as an alternative to Barkley.

It's no real surprise about RM and their obvious attempts to unsettle HK, although I think it would have been good to get Luka back so some of our younger players experience of training with him.

Hey ho, let's see what the summer brings!

Bit of a shame really. Can't see the current team making top 4 with their inability to break teams down. Oh well. I think gomes or suarez really would have helped move the ball faster in the middle of the pitch and a winger who can beat players seems pretty important too.

Summers is a looooong way off. But it is what it is. We have got 1 player (Dele) in Jan window in last 3 or 4 seasons...So, am not expecting anything this window anyway.

Personally, I would recall Onomah back, if Dembele & Winks can't be fit for a string of games.

Brutally honest, I don't care now about signings in the summer.
1) I've heard it too many times before, and I know how large the chance is that it will fall through.
2) We need probably one decisive signing now to stay on the top 4 track and continue the improvement of the last two seasons.
3) If we don't get a CL spot, chances are that the summer can go in various directions in terms of in- and outgoings.

So I'm grateful for the ITK update, but the club isn't exactly throwing me into a frenzy with this idle January shite head approach.
