Gazza and Lineker for Spurs, but also Ian Rush because I played football with him when I was about 10-11 and he was very encouraging.

Jimmy Greaves. I was always him in the playground. In the early days all I ever saw was a few minutes of him but that was enough

Klinsmann - I started supporting Spurs when we signed him. I was sitting on a sofa, watching the news and the second I heard he'd signed for Spurs I was like "I support Spurs now". Before that it was Liverpool. I was 11... the emotions... the nostalgia...

I was between Hoddle and Maradona. I can’t choose so I’ll just settle on the fact that my ability seems to have inspired Sissoko.
same as this. Still wear the number 10 shirt today because of these two. had the 10 Napoli shirt when maradona was there and loved my Hummel 10 shirt. Hoddle probably shaded it for me as he was just balletic.

Jimmy Greaves. Spent ages in the back garden trying to replicate his goal in the 1962 FA Cup Final.

I think I was playing football before I'd really watched any as the neighbouring kids were really into it. The first football I really remember watching was Italia 90 so that can only mean one player, Roger Milla.

Or more likely Gazza and Lineker
