Nkoudou loan to Burnley might give Edwards a chance.

By filling N'Koudou's role in the squad, as in not playing?

Poch has waxed lyrical about Edwards on more than one occasion, which tells me it's not second rate bit part players that are the reason he isn't playing.

It's the old chestnut of not being able to "please all of the people all of the time"
It doesn't matter whom he plays if the team loses, everyone will be on his back.
Some times I wonder how many people on here get all they want all the time and just expect it from THFC.

Winning the FA cup this season will be a big statement to our players. It's the first trophy they've won with us so it's another sign of progression after the last 2 seasons efforts in the league.

Next season is our first in the new stadium and Poch has said he has been working his (5 year) project to hopefully come to fruition in the new stadium.
Let's see what happens.

loft currently trialling with exeter.

think the likes of c.maghoma, j.pritchard and tracey should also be looking to find a career elsewhere to make room for the younger players. amos and harrison could do with playing senior football now as well and i have no idea why neither got loan moves in the summer but hopefully something happens for them this month. i'd also put georgiou in that category but poch unexpectedly took him up to the first team, think he's back down with the u23s again now though.

I've always thought Loft had plenty about him just never at this football club, not in a million years. He would already have 30 to 40 league appearances to his name if he'd have joined an club like Ipswich. By all accounts his confidence has been wrecked over the last three or so years. If the damage can be undone he might be able to salvage a career for himself at League One or Two level but I'm scepitcal. I think he follows the Jamie Slabber route, unfortunately.

Christian Maghoma looks imperious when he's allowed to play the game the way he wants it played, no one running at him, just long balls pumped down his throat, the time and space and bring the ball out of defence and ping a few tasty looking passes. Trouble is very few sides give him that game, why should they? He'll work his way down to Conference South level unfortunately. He'll probably end up at a Welling or someone like that within three years.

Joe Pritchard is hard not to like. He works his arse off and gives it everything. He might not be amazing or even very good but you know you're going to get 10 for effort and a 6/10 for quality. I could see him spending a few seasons with the likes of Yeovil, AFC Wimbledon, Stevenage.etc

Shilow Tracey has been a big dissapointment. He's all power and not much else. Not quite sure what we saw when we scouted him but he's been a country mile off of the required standard since the day he arrived and hasn't got any better. Sure, we've moved him from position to position but that's because he wasn't much cop in any of them. He'll be playing Conference South and below within two years. Simple lack of professional level quality.

Amos...do I? Should I? I shall refrain and simply say that I see him making a career for himself at a similar level to Joe Pritchard. Yeovil, Southend, Wimbledon.etc

Harrison is a strange one. So much to like but so much missing. I think he'll have a comfortable career playing League 1 & 2 football. He won't pull up any trees or fetch any big fees but he'll do a job for half a dozen clubs over his career.

Anthony Georgiou should also have a relatively secure career at League 1 & 2 level, he's better already than a lot of wingers down there. Consistency will blight him as it does everyone down there. I'm scepitical that we'll ever see as high as the Championship but stranger things have happened. I can very easily see him playing for a Northampton or a Carlisle or maybe even a Coventry or Swindon.

Never said i'd be one to complain.

Didn't mean to imply you would mate

Nkoudou loan to Burnley might give Edwards a chance.

DOn't see how it would affect Edwards. I reckon the reason N'Koudou has gone on loan is because any chances for him to get games this season have now gone, and therefore there are also no chances for Edwards

Well Edwards is one up pecking order. Like I said if we have more than 4 players unavailable we will have to dip into the kids. And I’d assume Edwards would be front of line if attacking player needed for bench. But be very surprised if we go into February with a 23 man squad.

See this is my frustrating with the current system, under Sherwood or pre Poch some of these players would have gone on loan. Some of them may have even performed well and had us thinking we could use them but even more likely they would have fetched better fees than they will end up going for. Some may leave on a free. Any extra money we make will help us, but we keep them to fill our u23s, as the best players are kept around the first team. The best players don't end up playing anyway so we just lose a potential load of money anyway.

If the the best players played u23s then they could all go on loan and the best players playing with the best new group would help develop them and boost their confidence. Just feels like a lot is being wasted. Players like Onomah and KWP could end up leaving with no real chances anyway for minimal fees or on a free because they haven't been allowed to showcase their talent.

Loft has definitely shown promise at times, and I feel he should make it as a striker in the EFL. His inconsistency means that he will never be top level but he has enough ability to be a good striker plus the aggression and physicality to handle the lower leauges

Agree, he has a lot of ability in my eyes, but as you say something is missing. I still think it is partly his physique and partly he doesn't know who he is or where his best position is. So he kind of moves around and isn't securing himself a position. I think once he decides who he wants to be and develops a bit more of a physique he could be a good striker or AM as high as the Championship, personally if he really gets it together I think he could end up playing a season or 2 in the PL one day, I really think he has the ability where if it all comes together he could do really well, but at this moment he is a bit lost. I'd still hold onto him more than most of our players though or send him on loan.
